Back to where?! - Are you sure there will be an ewood when they leave?!

If fans stay away nobody will want to buy us so venkys will sell off all the assets to re-coup whatever cash they can then close venky's london limited which is rovers.

As I have posted previously, staying away from Ewood hurts Rovers. Venkys will get some cash back either way - either from an offer, or a sell off of assets. I would rather us be a club with good attendances to encourage us to be bought as a going concern.

unfortunately as it stands regardless of attendances we're unbuyable

Improved attendances would make us more buyable. The extra revenue would help, and the improved atmosphere would help performances and keep players happier.

The extra revenue would be a drop in the ocean. Anyone thinking of buying rovers would know about the potential crowds if they got things right. Crowds would probably initially rise just because they weren't venkys. Improved atmosphere might help players if we have anyone halfway decent left to be able to raise performances but unless players raise performance in the first place, who is going to see anything exciting enough to get the crowd going. Chicken and egg situation

You're basically saying that because things are bad, supoorters shouldn't try and support. I think the opposite. I think we have never been needed down ewood more.

no I'm not. I'm saying that whether we go or not is irrelevant in terms of anyone looking to buy us. In fact it's irrelevant in terms of most things. Go or don't go, it makes no

difference. There was no atmosphere at most games last year cup games being the exception. They might want us there but they'll have to do something to persuade lots of fans to turn up. Sad but fact of life. You have to offer people something to get excited about. Even if it's only a small thing, you have to persuade those who are wavering, and so gar the club have done nothing significant

was it you who said you thought the same about Allardyce's football but you carried on watching it because it was 'winning' football?

or just a fan who supports his club...and then looks on in amazement when 28K turn up for a cup match against a 'big team'

Did it make you feel:

proud to be a rover

Or

Disgusted to see them "crawl out of the woodwork" against a "big club"

Attendances mean sht. Gate receipts mean fk all in the grand scheme of things. Keep clapping lads.

im a stay away but to slag people for going is not on,why do you call them Rovers Fans, you have the same feeling every sat youve had all your life,i used to get it in strangeways all them yrs ago, self exile is the hardest off all,i walked round ewood on friday,i had a tear in my eye when i passed the albion, the pub i shared many drinks with uncle jack, then i got too the road works and saw a dingle working on the road,we had some banter, but he said one thing.FOOTBALL IS A GAME OF ROUNDABOUTS,in burnley 20k cliam to be one off the 1700 who were there the season they nearly left the league, but they could not sell17k tickets in the premier.Fans protest in different ways, some will be sat at ewood cussing all game, some will be waiting for someone to say anything positive about venkys and then assult them, most just sit there and make no noise because theyve done it for yrs.

i hope i well enough to come to ewood when the venksters have gone,i might even swallow my pride and go against wolves, but everysat at 3pm my heart belongs to brfc.

The only club in football that has a problem with FFP and we have one of the richest owners outside the PL. We are being made mugs of. Again.

That's cause and effect. Surely if the owners were not as wealthy as they are and seen as rich pickings this situation would not have come about.

Just read this on twitter and it cracked me up;

"I'm rovers till we sell someone, I'm rovers till we sell someone, I know I am, I'm sure I am, I'm rovers till we sell someone"

I'm not taking the Mick out of you GB I just thought this was an apt quote for those saying 2000 fans will not renew because if cairney going.

Just imagine the reaction if cairney was actually any good!

Quite apt that gumboots, a teacher by profession has learned a very harsh lesson these past few years. She's not alone either. "Every day is a school day" eh gumboots?

Each and every day there is more rubbish spouted, more name calling and slagging off, a lack of respect for alternative opinion and that is why the few are driving fellow members away and driving wedges where they are not needed.

Its a message board where people can air their own opinion, get over it and get on with it.

Sorry Stefan I'd had a few sherbets. However my intention was true. Venkys continue to take the p1ss, so does Shaw, Myers, Bowyer and, the saddest of all, the team. A few more in the stands will mean jack to that set collective. Nobody wanted to buy us when we were prosperous so a few hundred on the gate will mean little to investors or the lickspittles i listed previously.

You would think this experience with foreign owners would put people off wishing for another. I'm with Gav on this. Get them out, I can come back and we can all face administration together and cone out the other side as a real club again.

Burnley, Preston and Leeds United home games all moved to 12.30pm kick offs on police advice.

Makes you wonder how we ever used to host Man City and Man United at 5.30pm kick offs on a Saturday every

Bottom line is some folk are prepared to use their voice when they feel change is needed. I get the impression you're in the "blindly supporting anything that happens" group of super fans?

This use of the term super fans as an insult is ridiculous. DMTP made his case in a very civilized and balanced way. If the best response you can come up with is to accuse him of being blind I'd suggest you've lost the argument.

I keep hearing and reading posts about how the fans are too fickle and fair weather. This is true for many of those who abandoned us after falling out of the PL but not all - and we will never know how many went because of VenKean and how many were simply plastic. But the point is that many of those who have stayed and swallowed the BS are just as bad. "We are where we are" is a "convenient" (if I may use the word in the same way tat Gordon used it to describe Venkys) excuse for accepting every backward step - whilst we are still falling. We should have united against what was happening at the club but those closest to the club (let's call them superfans) made it their mission to shout down the dissenters and say they weren't real fans. Now they say "we are were we are" - maybe to mask their guilt, who knows.

Another one who likes to use the tag "superfans" as an insult. And these are rich comments from someone who constantly preaches about NOT blaming fans for where we are now!

If you visionaries - let's call you super-duper-fans - were so knowledgeable back in the day, why didn't you shout a bit louder and protest a bit longer?

The answer is because your leaders jumped into bed with Shebby Singh and he told them to be quiet - nothing to do with your fellow supporters.

If insults are the proof of losing the argument, i think you've lost more than anyone.
