of course there are 'ifs' and 'maybes' and if we lose to brentford it's effectively over but if we beat them it's defo on. 5 points gap with 8 games to play is not a big gap.

If Ipswich were to win it would still be 7 points

Not insurmountable but still

Wonder if we will end up 7th or 8th and the season's story will be re-written.

That's exactly what I'm expecting with choruses of we gave it a right good go and if the season was another week long etc

Playing Premiership sides isn't pressure, we're the underdogs with not a lot to lose.

I disagree TS, running out at Anfield for a young championship player is pressure, regardless of expectations.

I gave up hopes of the play-offs back in January and my opinion has not changed.

Although it's nice to see the Rovers squad of players all performing well and picking up points galore instead of sitting back relaxing.

If by some miracle we were to finish in 6th place may I remind you all that 3 of the play-off clubs will be in this division next season.

So just sit back and enjoy the current evolution of the squad under Bowyer and be grateful that we are not struggling to avoid relegation.

Thought we were terrific today. Have to admit, the luxury of seeing the action live meant you could really see each player for their worth. I think Marshall looked uninterested, Henley looked fairly flustered at most times.

Chris Brown is the definition of team player, put himself about and played smart. Rhodes a class act, he looked miles offside for his second, but he just reacted so much quicker to the opportunity than everybody else. Conway was an obvious threat, until he went off and Cairney deserved a goal. Baptists was fairly solid, as was Henry, although he doesn't suit playing as high of a line as we did second half.

All in all, a good win against a form team away from home can't be snuffed at. We now can't be expected to get to the playoffs, but if we play as well as we did today, who knows? I'll be cheering every week.

Excellent team performance today with everyone putting in a shift despite three more players having to leave the field injured. The spirit within the camp is first class, playing for each other, the manager and the fans. Players were having to switch positions due to the injuries but they didn't drop their heads and just got on with it. The support was again terrific today and good to hear the fans singing "Gary Bowyers Blue & White Army" in the second half. All in all another good day out watching the Rovers.

Henry struggle today Parson?

Looked the get caught out for the penalty, it seems Killgallon in instrumental in organising a defence he has to be first pick there and for captain surely.

As an aside I was happy to see Williamson get the armband today, class act as a professional.

To be honest Tom, I thought he had a pretty decent game considering it was only his third game in English League football. Got caught for the penalty but defended well at other times and is remarkably quick to recover when he makes a slip and gets back to get a tackle in. He picked up an injury just after half-time which didn't help before he finally had to go off. This lad looks a real prospect and hopefully Rovers can extend his loan and perhaps get him on a season long loan next season. Baptiste was outstanding today and took over the role of organising the back line whilst Williamson provided excellent cover until he, too, picked up an injury.

Great win Jordan Rhodes is a class act in front of goal.

Yeah but never run the channels and always gets shoved off the ball. We should really cash in, pay Hudds what we owe plus their sell on. Square up his agents and Dereck & co then see the bank swallow the rest.

Replace him with a freebie Championship style Dickov. This in turn will solve our debt, lift our embargo and also enable the team to play better and get us promotion.

I'm surprised you don't know this !

:) :) :)

hoping we can take him for next season he will be enjoying the game time and it will suit Sam as it will prepare him better than the reserves.

Only seen him myself against Bolton but he looked capable of a mistake but also capable of recovering the situation quickly
