It will be in the summer when he's gone and we're stranded. What could £8m have done in this league? Promotion?

Money is the last thing we need to get out of this league den, I get told that daily by the chief protagonists on here, so thats just bunkum! :tu:

Another good away win against a Charlton side in a rich vein of form.

Why oh why have we left it so late in proceedings Mr Bowyer/players?

We have a squad to get promoted out of this division. We have a manager who can't. Make Bowyer chief scout and get a proper man-manager in. Simple. :tu:

Yes, but you're not taking into account that that amount of money could have brought four players in. Instead of one who scores goals but contributes considerably to our poorer performances. Now he's worth nothing because we can't reinvest any fee. That's why I said its been wasted.

I was going to (respectfully) offer a counter to your argument Den. I don't think I'll bother now! ;)

Relegation, with no Rhodes and a host of crap players signed by the clueless bald tosspot and his slimy agent friends. I thought that was obvious Den.

Good win. Could get interesting but we've an awful lot to do and we're still relying on other results.

And the result tonight Den without his goals? Like I said. A luxury you can't afford not to have. Dress it up how you like the lad wins games for us.

And what do points make? Prizes! Good game, good game! :tu:

Delighted to win. Not really the time or the place for a debate on Rhodes and money wasted or well spent. This is the thread to say well done chaps. Criticise all you want elsewhere but the relief that flooded through me when our third goal goes in tells me that, however hard we are to watch sometimes, it still hasn't quite lost its magic.

Looks like a mirror image of last season where the handbrake comes off and we start winning games.

Let's see if Bowyer can win 4 league games in a row for the first time in his tenure and close the gap further.

Realistically we need 7 wins from 9 and must win the home games against Ipswich, Brentford and Forest to have a prayer.

I'm happy today but ultimately frustrated that we have wasted a great chance this season.

I'd also like to point out that we won 3-1 today playing 4-4-2. To me it seems like all our best results and performances come with this formation, I can't see why some are dead set on maligning it. This team is much stronger going on the offensive.

Big test for us on Tuesday, especially with the mounting injury list and fixture list.

I don't mind 4-4-2 at this level (and it's essential if Rhodes plays) but in the Prem against better players it's a difficult system to pull off.

For me it's about letting the back 4 defend and getting the wide men in the last third delivering quality balls in the box - the quality of our strikers should do the rest. Cairney centrally alongside a DM (Spearing) is also a must.

Just might be so costly come the end of the season !

Trouble is, for every result like today you know that there is a Yeovil or a Blackpool just around the corner.

Anyhow, let's enjoy tonight. Stil intrigued to know when we last won 4 in a row in the league. Could really galvanise the club if we can do it on Tuesday.
