We will like last season most probably end up just short, while it is great that we are getting wins at the moment it is deeply frustrating to think about the points that we have dropped at Ewood Park to the likes of Blackpool, Sheffield Weds and Wolves, those will be the points that will end up costing us a top 6 finish.

Spot on and I bet you can pick out 3 or 4 similar games to the ones above last season where it was head scratch time in terms of team selection. Subs made(or not made at the right time), etc, etc, etc.

same people on here defending him,

No chance! Even when we've won it's hardly been convincing. It's more of the same with GG...........we'll finish "high enough" for him to get another season and then we'll all be repeating the same things next season though expectations will be lowered further to " we're only 6 points off the top half of the table".

Soon I'll be repeating the same as last season " if we could only win 6 of our remaining 4 games we could get into the play-offs".

Yeah, we could be in for "Shiit Campaign 3"

Directed by GB

Produced by Big Bilaji

Chaddy and Parson in Leicester Square for the Premier

Shiit campaign 4: "We gave it a right good go" is in pre-production but at b-movie level as it's being funded by Admin Films

Games coming thick and fast, players fitness and conditioning in question as injuries pile up coupled with a FA Cup distraction will see us fall well short. 3 wins on the trot is awesome but Tuesday agai st Brentford will mark the beginning of the end.

i think the liverpool game going back a month has worked in our favour. If we were playing tonight/tomorrow, probably lose and then the players may find it hard to get up for a run-in from mid-table. However, if they are all fighting for starting places between now and 8th april we may be able to get a few points on the board before then and perhaps in touching distance of play-offs, irrespective of the liverpool result....GB is a lucky manager, but can't pick the right team or make the right subs and he seems to have a stubborn cut off your nose to spite your face attitude.

Extremely slim chance as we need to get 24-25 points out of 27 and we have not shown that kind of form this or any previous season.

A few weeks ago I had all but written off this season, so while the chances are very slim it does at least keep it alive for a few more games at least. Hoping that we can win the next 2 games and go into the 2 week international break still hanging on.

Think you are being a tad pessimistic.

Look at the fixtures of those sides battling for 6th spot and I think 74 points will clinch it. 20 points from our remaining fixtures is IMV, very doable.

Rovers: 54 points

Home - Brentford, Brighton, Forest, Millwall, Ipswich
Away - Leeds, B'ham, Reading, H'field.

Don't think these are easy fixtures at all and anyone genuinely predicting a return over 20+ points is a tad excitable and optimistic. All five home games look interesting with Forest on a decent run, Millwall desperate for points, Brentford and Ipswich having decent seasons, etc

7 wins from 9 games? On top of the 3 games just gone? 10 wins from 12? A run like that may well be needed but I doubt it will come to pass. I would imagine somewhere between 13 and 16 points will be accrued subject to our away form.

Shame really, as I have said all season that it is a poor league and the fact we are still in with half a chance after waxing so many points and opportunities demonstrates this. Our squad depth and size will always help towards the season end as others stuggle with injuries, suspensions, tiredness and loss of form. Pity we are not right up there in contention to use it to best effect. Yet another wasted opportunity this season in my view. It's all over bar the shouting, but until mathematically impossible then fingers crossed of course.

Deep down you know too. The square root of bugger all

I could almost take the status quo (no jokes about the awful band), it's whether they sanction the sales of Rhodes & Rudy. If so, we are in the Championship/lower leagues for the long run. More fans will not renew, death by a thousand cuts.

75 points is the target for me. Of the teams above us, Forest are in our hands as we have to play them and we can take points off Brentford and Ipswich as we play both of them too. Those three are must win games.

That leaves Wolves who look to have a very tough run in and are stuttering a tad at the moment results wise.

So, it's 7 wins from 9 with 3 of them having to come against the aforementioned teams. That then means 4 from 6 and that seems doable looking at who we have to play (you'd have to fancy 6 points from Brighton and Millwall for a start).

Unfortunately, we've been here before and there's a big doubt as to whether the performances will be there when the pressure is cranked up. I expect us to throw one in similar to Yeovil last year and fall about half a dozen points short.

I can't believe I wrote this a week ago.
