Too harsh on Marshall but agree with a lot of that. Then I got to this:

“Spurr, Not that it's saying much but today my MoM.”

Another for Specsavers then. :tu:

Only cos Spurr and Gestede injected some much needed determination and effort into the team. Who was your MoM?

Brown played well v Bolton. Played well in a few away games too according to reports. He has only just come back after a lengthy injury and is unlikely to be up to full fitness. Yesterday he had a stinker just the same as everybody else. I commented on the entire team, you chose just to quote my Brown comment in order to suit your pathetic agenda against him. I was there and therefore I am qualified to make comment whereas you don't even know what the inside of Ewood Park looks like never mind the cost of a ticket.

Don't worry, I know it'll be a cold day in hell before you admit to being wrong about a player.

And seriously, YOU of all people are taking the moral highground about attendance? The guy who'd rather play a round of 18 holes than watch us in the Premier League? The guy who only attends when he can get a freebie?

I`ve just got back to Cornwall from my visit up north to see family, friends and footy!

My mood driving back was in sharp contrast to my driving up on Tuesday on a matchday really excited at seeing the Rovers again for the first time since last September.

If I may offer a few thoughts.........

The first one is to the fans who go regularly to Ewood and support the team; I felt like shaking hands with everyone to thank them for keeping this club alive because the quality of product on show aginst Brentford and Brighton was so poor that the fans deserve a medal! Our hardcore fanbase appears to be bigger than it was in dark days of the past but I worry that number may decline.

Secondly I was shocked by the level of performance by the majority of the players I saw. Perhaps many will disagree with me but I thought that the standout player was Baptiste over the two games with Henley and Gestede not far behind. Noone else came close. It was like watching the Reserves from years ago knowing they were honest pros but had little future as first teamers except that I realised, as others on here have commented, they will be the players that we all pin our hopes on next season!

Then my third thought was well perhaps they are saving themselves for one final clash with Liverpool as a season defining moment and to show to a larger audience that they are more talented than they showed here. That they do have more professional pride in their makeup than they showed on Saturday.

My final thought was with the manager and his coaching staff. How could they accept that level of performance from the players? I heard him on RR after the game and he did sound angry and upset with the team but from reading on here that level has been reached before this season. It is a fact that our league position will be worse than last season and with Gestede and/or Rhodes and possibly King moving on the future does seem a little bleak. A change of manager? Difficult call. Maybe a new man at the helm will shake things up but I`m not sure if the owners are getting the right sort of advice to make an informed decision.

But it was great to be at Ewood again to see and hear the fans and I salute everyone of you who turn up for the few remaining home games.

It appears that you don't understand the concept of principles and making a principled stand. I refused to buy a ST whilst Kean was Manager from Summer 2011 until he had gone. How can you or anyone else criticise that? The only thing which you might question is why more people didn't do likewise.

I don't want to get into a willy waving contest but I've put countless thousands of pounds into the Rovers over the years. How much have you contributed?

And your the one mocking people who may have better things to spend their cash on instead of going next season.. What hypocrisy..

btw I'll still go and always have as it's social as well but that social scene is growing less and less due to the state the club now is in...

I'd wager Venky's have invested a damn sight more than you. Is their footy knowledge superior to yours? :)
