Strange things happen with the crowd figures at weepdale as well it seems. Press guys handed the official attendance figures of c10,800 including 960 visitors, a bit later the crowd announced as 12.330. :rock:

Following in Burnleys footsteps the other week !

'Real' crowd figure 10800, then replaced with ticket sold figure?

I guess some that buy season tickets don't actually make much of a saving as it seems thousands don't turn up game after game :unsure:

Something like that but it seems they may have a thousand or so corporate 'phantoms' as well. I suppose it's pretty common in this league as most grounds are only half or two thirds full.

Chances are Abbey, that they will finish above us in their first season while us fans celebrate "stability". :)

Is the Rovers game at Preston on sky ?

Not been announced that far yet but looking at the fixtures it could be. then again Leeds are at home to Rotherham so probably not.

Not sure but Lancs Police have asked for both the home and away game v Preston to be at 11am. You read it here first!!

If that turns out to be true , a Sunday morning fixture is favourite !

Not sure why they are calling us bitter, seems they have far more bitterness than us, and a strange obsession with "potential fans" whilst ironically calling us plastics because of the fans we got when we realised our potential. Also they don't seem to realise we where leagues above them prior to JW. Was it '84 they applied for re-election, years before JW got involved, and we where still 2 leagues higher.

They're the bitter ones. Never been a big club and they know it. They're obsessed with the PR Postcode and very bitter if anyone supports another club in that area. Blackpool fans even give them grief in the PR4 area.

Must admit I don't really care about Preston. I know they're local but I can only remember them being in the same league as us twice and apart from the fact that we were promoted I can't recall much excitement about the last couple of games. Handy for me for an away trip because it's on the main line, otherwise it's amusing to see how they obviously don't accept our superiority despite them languishing in the lower divisions for longer than most of their lives. I would put them on a par with Bury from a football point of view, lower division perennials.

Everyone I have ever met from there, and I used to work in preston for a couple of years, supports 1 of the big clubs and has preston as a back up anyway. Doubt that's changed much over the 20 odd years since I was there.
