To be honest, there's no excuse for us not to sell out at Preston. Not played them in ages, not far away at all and cheap tickets.

What an odd bunch.

Arrogant? Oh, the irony. We are much better as a club. What a set of weirdos. The big club that never was sums up that set of goons perfectly. Imbeciles.

Calling us plastics is proper funny as well. Not our fault everyone in Preston seems to support United and Liverpool.....

Such an inferiority complex.

All these bitter Nobbers from darren lol Just why the feck do people growing up in Darwen become PNE fans ?

Still it's nice to know we get so far under their skins even though we are crap these days. Like I've said before just about every Knob End I've ever met has hated Rovers with a passion and that goes back to before we had Jack. They say we've a superiority complex but I'd suggest it's always been them with the inferiority complex. Quite rightly to as in my Rovers supporting lifetime they've virtually always been way below us, again even before we hit the big time

I think it's quite reasonable - how difficult would it be to not be jealous of the luxury we've had in that time!

Why do you think BFC fans are generally more obsessed with our fortunes than their own? Spent their entire supporting life wishing they'd seen half of what we've seen.

Indeed, what those plonkers and the Dingles conveniently forget is that we spent most of the 80s way above them, us in the second division (close to the top flight on a few occasions), whilst they were scrapping to stay in the Football League.

First part time job I had the boss was a North End fan, hated Rovers because he was brought up on the tussles in the 60's and 70's. His fav put down to me was the fact that he claimed a player called Alex Bruce scored a pearler at Ewood that sent us down and it used to come up on the match of the day credits ? Some on here might know ?

In return I used to think it hilarious for some reason that they had players with daft names such as Ian Bogie and Simon Snow etc. There was a difficult period when they could not even attract a manager and the LEP had a back page headline 'Why will no one come to Deepdale' which I pinned to the brew room wall.

Just bought my tickets. Block Q Row 30.

Does that mean there is only Block R remaining. Not sure how they are allocating.

Anyway maybe a heads up for those still waiting to purchase.

Me too, also Q block row 18. She said just over 3,000 sold.

I can't remember if the PNE 0-1 win at Ewood actually relegated us that Season although it was late in the Season, they had hammered us away earlier. The rest is true..............sadly.

This time hopefully it's pay-back and we can help send that shower back where they belong.

Told you, this is their cup-final, they hate us, the team better turn up with the right attitude, or they'll turn us over. Always love how the local clubs seem obsessed with attendances too, but only on a 'if we where in the same position...' basis, because they can't prove it with fact.

Garner vs Hanley should be an interesting/lively match-up.

The old attendance debate cracks me up as well, all I heard from that lot back then was 'if we were in your position we'd get....' Usualy when they were on a good run and getting a few more in. They always seemed oblivious to the fact whilst we were averaging 5/6k bobbling along in the old second they were getting 2/3k bobbling about in the old 4th.

It seems through history whenever they've been in the same division they've still usually got less than us.

The big club that never was !

yeah! I've spent quite a lot of time in Preston during the last decade. It's like the whole place is made of plastics - never met so many fake Mancs and Scousers in my life.

I don't think I've ever seen a PNE shirt in Bburn or Darwen, they must hide well.

No no I tell lies, the guy that had Fenni chipy in the 80's was a PNE fan, used to get it full of fish batter when doing my fish n chips.

Sounds like even he was effectively using it as a rag :rover:
