Just been to Ewood for Preston tickets and was told I had the last two.

Not sure if they'll dig anymore up but may be worth a call to ensure you don't have a wasted journey.

COYB.

All sold out according to the clubs official twitter feed...should be a cracking day out, super atmosphere and a new manger in charge who will hopefully do the business. What price optimism eh?

Seriousy.Getting grief off Preston fans for attendance's when they're a bigger city and they actually admit our home gates are bigger.

Weve put up with so much from the owners over the past 5 years and Preston are at the crest of a wave and yet home gates are still bigger.

Only been to dumpdale for friendlies before. Can't wait to enjoy a city centre takeover on Saturday afternoon and the Paul Lambert initiation ceremony later.

NobEnd lol.

Crest of a wave? Are you having a laugh?

We've just spent 4yrs in League one, witnessing the worst time for PNE in a generation, and have just been promoted to a League where we spent the prior 11yrs stagnating.

Whoopdee fvcking do.

You lot have had 20yrs of the Prem to build up your fan base. You give match-day tickets away with bags of chips, and charge what? 12p for season tickets...yet are pulling gates only 1,500 higher than us.

Embarrassing.

And I'm not @ssed if Preston has 30,000 more people than Blackburn. Irrelevant when you look at the bigger picture.

You lot have a statute of Jack Walker (RIP) outside your ground....we have one of Sir Tom Finney.

Speaks volumes, don't you think?

It's been said on here many times what Northend fans are like. They've always had this idea that they have massive support. They don't talk about anything else such as whether they've ever had a decent side or not, just attendances. The thing is there's nothing to back it up. Take a look at their attendances over the past 40 years or whatever, they're quite abysmal and in all honesty they'd be better advised to keep quiet about. Taking their attendance figures where there's only a couple of hundred difference, away from home for a season and half during a rare promotion season, doesn't tell you anywhere the true story.

They're obsessed and always have been.

Past 40yrs you say?

What, when you've spent half that time in the top flight, buying success. While we've been rotting in the basement Leagues and had to apply for re-election to the football league?

Brilliant.

Sad to see the childish bickering between fans of 2 proud northwest clubs.

I think we can rise above any petty antagonism. We will see whether PNE sell their Ewood allocation a week ahead of the return and then we can discuss attendances.

I've no problem with 95% of fans of any other club (with one notable exception).

I know its just banter but I was hoping to avoid any negativity until the questions begin to surface if we don't win our next 3 games.

Here's to PNE having a successful season following their narrow but spirited defeat on Saturday.

I look forward to applauding Gally n Garner, I'm even ok with them scoring a consolation goal.

Hope the white's are as up for it as Lambert's blue and white army.

Seriously, p 1ss off.

Remember it well. The away following was 400 odd.

Game on Sky, League one, unbelievably shlt team and managed by Graham Westley....

Another thing I remember well is, some of your embarrassing sub 500 followings in the fvcking Premiership. Yourselves & Wigan that everyone used to take the plss out of, weren't it?...

It wasn't 400 sunshine and you know it, more like 150 absolute tops. Yes we had some stinking followings in the Prem particularly under Allardyce, not surprising and also the conman, again no surprise there.

Factor in the rip off prices in the Prem (you wouldn't know) and yes a bit of novelty factor worn off syndrome and it's what you get. Small fanbases are like that, people have to pick and choose and if you bothered to look you'd find Bolton, Charlton, Fulham etc etc all similar to us.

How come you lot get miles more for pre season friendlies than you do for league games ? Just asking ....

We must be talking about a different game but never the less all the Lancashire clubs are comparable. We all have a good hardcore and can all pull a few in home and away when there's a good run on.Previous to this seasons Derbys last 3 followings at Ewood have been approx 450, 1100 and 680 (eve game) so I suppose your going to tell us your away support is better than theirs now ?

Swings and roundabouts and just like Burnley you only start mouthing off about it once your getting some decent crowds following you again but without mentioning any mitigating factors. But if it's all you've got to cling to.....

This goon goes on about Prem followings yet this lot had a chip on their shoulders in the late 80's about crowds in regards to us before our revolution started. Shouldn't they really be having these digs at Blackpool, I thought that was their big un

Gutted I'm not going to this now feels like the dawn of a new era (optimism is a bad thing)

There's always Bolton away on 28th December. A while off, I suppose, but is always a good 'un to go to. Another big following I expect.

Wonder if any of the Preston fans will be on here bleating about attendances when Lambert starts his Rovers reign with a comfortable three points at Deepdale?

Can't wait for this one, it's going to be an incredible atmosphere.

Let's wait whilst full time before we start shouting. I'd take an un comfortable three points now.

Why are you arguing with fans of a club that find themselves living in Blackpools shadow?

We've always been the biggest and best supported club in the area, the most successful, the club everyone knows.

Leave this lot to argue with Bpool and Wigan, we've bigger fish to fry.

Jealousy is an ugly thing. Lancashire football is like a microcosm of north west Europe.

Rovers/England - once mighty, despised by many because of it.

Bolton/France - almost comparable in historical achievement.

Burnley/Scotland - bitter and twisted.

Preston/Ireland - Largely ignored but still quite bitter.

Blackpool/Wales - friendlier than the rest but still a bit bitter.

England had an empire, Rovers had the title. Bottom line is its always the same emotions motivated by the same things. For this N*b End b*ll end, read any number of sad, jealous cretins the world over.

This made me laugh heartily, thanks.

Think you have over egged Horwich Wanderers, Dingles, lilywhites and the Lashers there SKH, more like Malta, Andorra, San Marino and Liechtenstein.

Greyfriars in Preston appears to be the pub of choice for anyone travelling down from Scotland. Most seem to be on the 9.40am from Glasgow (one or two Dumfries lads picking it up at Carlisle)

We plan to grab breakfast in there then head to the pub across the street (Black Bull) I think it's called.

You lot have a statute of Jack Walker (RIP) outside your ground....we have one of Sir Tom Finney.

Are you really trying to compare stardom?

Finney was one of the greatest players of his generation, but we did it first with Sir Bob Crompton. We had Douglas and Clayton. The PL's greatest goalscorer Alan Shearer.

I think it 'speaks volumes' that we immortalised one of our own over all that talent, rather than plaster one (admittedly great) player all over everything.

I think this says it all, especially the position of the nobbers

as well as the other not so great pretenders in the area
