bob fleming Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Loads, this is your big day out in the city. Look at you getting all giddy about how many you're taking, congratulations you took more than your average 700 or so to a game 15 minutes down the road! Fact is we average far more than you lot away, loyal supporters. Ha ha! How long have you been supporting North End?

JAL Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Walking around Preston centre these days there certainly seems a lot more empty shop units.
Nobber Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Preston being a 'City' is the biggest joke! I don't doubt with you punching above your weight in a higher league for the first time in a while you will get a few more day trippers away from home. It must be a bit grim going to the likes of Oldham, Crewe & Scunthorpe every other week. On the other hand I believe your home attendance was 10,000 the other week. Big City club eh? Been to all those places. Crewe is a good day out. We always take thousands, everyone on the same train, just under a hour to get there, drunk by midday... Trust you plastics to look down on great clubs like that.
Ewooduknow Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Its gonna be 0-0 this one. Both teams record this season point to that for me. Too early for Lambert to influence things yet.
donnermeat Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 I can't get over how pathetic this guy is......

Fact is we average far more than you lot away, loyal supporters. The fact is you are averaging more than us by a couple of hundred so far this season, but like I've already pointed out to you, after Saturday our average away support will be higher than you! And it will stay above you for the rest of the season. The novelty of languishing in the depths of the championship will quickly wear off and your away support will fall.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 18, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted November 18, 2015 Given how many United and Liverpool shirts you see kicking about in Preston, the irony of him calling us plastics, is clearly lost on him.

roverandout Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Erm...we have been in the premier league over 20 years, won cups, league titles, you have won 1 fa cup is it, rovers are a far bigger club than you lot!
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 18, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted November 18, 2015 Logic is also lost on this guy, he'll turn into a dingle in a minute and say we were only there because of JW...

Ewooduknow Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Pot kettle black pal. Does it hurt that you've never made the premier league? Even Blackpool have had one season..

Preston North End, only won the one FA cup, nowt else. Aye think you're right there mate! :)
roverzee Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Crewe is a good day out. We always take thousands, everyone on the same train, just under a hour to get there, drunk by midday You managed to make a daft claim and then disprove it with just nine words.
bob fleming Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Pot kettle black pal. Is your dad letting you go on your own on Saturday? He must be dreading another Crewe or Scunny episode after all. Anyway, get to bed lad, school tomorrow, then only two more sleeps until your cup final.

Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Loads, this is your big day out in the city. Look at you getting all giddy about how many you're taking, congratulations you took more than your average 700 or so to a game 15 minutes down the road! Fact is we average far more than you lot away, loyal supporters. I'll give this one try but strongly suspect it will have the same effect as an explanation of the human genome would on a stone-age cave dweller. This "fans" argument is cyclical nonsense. Every position on it is a pathetically immature generalisation. Every position on it can be explained by rational demographic factors that have naff all to do with "passion" or whatever. And every position on it can be used as a total positive and a total negative. An example of that last point: We get a great away following - "look at you getting excited" We don't get a great away following - "we average far more than you, we're loyal supporters" (added the "we're" in there to make your English sound less retarded and unintelligible). Try and get it through your, I'm guessing, 13 year old brain that the exact opposite of what you just said can be used. You have generally good away followings because you get "excited" about away games. For example because your own ground is a soulless dump and most people in your "city" support Man Utd. And you can't sell us enough tickets for this game because we have more "loyal supporters" than you. I imagine that went straight in one ear and out the other so I won't even bother properly talking about the number of fans of both clubs that are more loyal than you, the racial demographic of Blackburn compared to Preston, the difference in the number of competing clubs around us, the size of each club's catchment area etc etc. If you've got a less idiotic big brother who's not trying to be a character out of the Football Factory, send him along and I'll go into it.
J*B Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Let him have his moment folks. This is a genuine derby game to him, its just a day out on the @#/? for us.
Nobber Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Oh god we are now basing attendances on racial demographic! As I said before, you lot are obsessed.
the original david brent Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Your average away following will improve after a venture down the road, really pal? FFS Yeah it doesn't take a mathematical genius to work it out
Baz Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Oh god we are now basing attendances on racial demographic! As I said before, you lot are obsessed.Gonna make every post about attendances, or are you going to talk about football?Hows Grayson, Garner, Gally doing this season, what formation and style of play do you have? Any fears about relegation, or do you think you'll be ok?
bob fleming Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Yeah it doesn't take a mathematical genius to work it out It's quite clear we're not dealing with a genius of any kind here Dave. Anyway, the match. It'll be close. They're doing very well in the clean sheets stakes (unlike nobber on Friday night, but that'll be put down to excitement, nerves and ale - and possibly all three). Preston are actually slight favourites at 8/5. We're 7/4. Draw 9/4. I think back to Hughes start at Rovers, if I've got this right I don't think he did too well in the first few games? (Someone correct me!) as he was getting the team properly fit. If the rumours about extended training sessions are right then they might be more tired before they get up to speed. So check expectations guys. Then again don't! I'm not used to all this positivity, it's quite unnerving! It should be a cracking atmosphere. Rovers to sneak it by the odd goal.
yoda Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Your average away following will improve after a venture down the road, really pal? FFS Just like a dingle, no good at maths http://www.11v11.com/teams/preston-north-end/tab/honours read the next one and weep Lilywhite http://www.11v11.com/teams/blackburn-rovers/tab/honours
Nobber Posted November 18, 2015 Posted November 18, 2015 Yeah it doesn't take a mathematical genius to work it out Exactly pal. Gonna make every post about attendances, or are you going to talk about football? Hows Grayson, Garner, Gally doing this season, what formation and style of play do you have? Any fears about relegation, or do you think you'll be ok? We like playing 3-5-2. Soon changing to ultra defensive mode if we are in for a chance of a point. Enjoy the game! Grayson is doing the job he's been told to do, making us tough to beat... All about staying up first season back. Garner, although not scored is still a handful, missing Beckford badly though. He seems a bit lost playing with our other strikers (who admittedly are a bit crap) We fell apart without Gallagher earlier in the season, a real engine. Our main man however is young Daniel Johnson, if he has the ball at the edge of your box with a bit of room, get worried.
