It's quite clear we're not dealing with a genius of any kind here Dave.

Anyway, the match. It'll be close. They're doing very well in the clean sheets stakes (unlike nobber on Friday night, but that'll be put down to excitement, nerves and ale - and possibly all three). Preston are actually slight favourites at 8/5. We're 7/4. Draw 9/4.

I think back to Hughes start at Rovers, if I've got this right I don't think he did too well in the first few games? (Someone correct me!) as he was getting the team properly fit. If the rumours about extended training sessions are right then they might be more tired before they get up to speed. So check expectations guys. Then again don't! I'm not used to all this positivity, it's quite unnerving!

It should be a cracking atmosphere. Rovers to sneak it by the odd goal.

I think one of Hughes first games was a 0-4 defeat by middlesboro at ewood. Hasselbaink hat trick?

Evenin' nobber

Apart from a spell in the early to mid 1950s your average attendance is generally below ours

You ranged from an impressive 33226 in 1949 to a meagre 3502 in 1986

Impressive stuff for a Big City team.

I notice as of this morning you had sold over 17000 tickets for Saturday....including 5500 Rovers fans ....We can sell some more for you if you'd like?

Enjoy your cup final on Saturday.

Erm...we have been in the premier league over 20 years, won cups, league titles, you have won 1 fa cup is it, rovers are a far bigger club than you lot!

How did you ever forget the invincibles? Yes it was 127 years ago but that little team by the wibble still go on about it. A bit like their lowest ever gate at a midweek afternoon during the dark 70's. There were 367,786 people on that day if you believe all of the "In the Lashers shadow fans"

Preston haven't lost in 6 games and incredibly haven't conceded a single goal in that time. I think this will be a lot harder than many Rovers fans are expecting and if we do win it'll probably be a 1-0 scraper.

Agreed. Some folk really underestimating Preston while at the same time overestimating what PL can do for us in such a short time.

Cant be bothered with all this we are bigger than you rubbish. We all suffer from the Big City clubs in the north west. But I do think PKE's must be small. I used to service many a married woman on the larches and Savick estate. Lost count of the times i've cleaned myself off on the curtains before leaving their homes.

I'd rather win the league 127 years ago than buy the league 20 years ago.

You're barking up the wrong tree trying to wind me up with cups anyway. I go to the football to shout expletives and drink ale.

Exactly pal.

We like playing 3-5-2. Soon changing to ultra defensive mode if we are in for a chance of a point. Enjoy the game! :)

Grayson is doing the job he's been told to do, making us tough to beat... All about staying up first season back.

Garner, although not scored is still a handful, missing Beckford badly though. He seems a bit lost playing with our other strikers (who admittedly are a bit crap)

We fell apart without Gallagher earlier in the season, a real engine. Our main man however is young Daniel Johnson, if he has the ball at the edge of your box with a bit of room, get worried.

Thanks for that, a typical Grayson team in terms of defensive set up I suppose.

The fact Garner hasn't scored had passed me by, Im now a bit nervous about that. I can see him and Grant Hanley having a real battle, Garners always had that to his game from when he used to play in our youth team and front up to centre halves a foot above him.

Does Gally play central for you? It's admittedly a while since I've seen him, but last time he was possibly the slowest winger in the league (and believe me, ours arent exactly nippy).

For your information.

Supporters attending the #pnefc v #brfc are advised that in light of recent events in Europe extra searches will take place on turnstiles so please arrive in plenty of time to ensure entry is gained prior to kickoff.

It goes without saying that ANY person found in possession of a pyrotechnic or fireworks will be arrested. We are expecting the largest crowd of the season thus far as such the jct of Lowthorpe Rd & Lowthorpe Crescent will be cordoned off post match to assist in the safe egress of all supporters.

Club car-parks will also remain closed for a short period as will Deepdale Rd, to traffic, to allow supporters to cross safely. Your patience during this period is appreciated.

#brfc fans are advised that you have sold your full allocation please don't travel without a ticket! You will not be able to purchase tickets on the day of the match & "away" fans found to be in "home" areas will be in breach of the ground safety regulations.

A large scale policing operation will be in place for the #pnefc v #brfc game & we want all supporters to enjoy this all too rare fixture.

As part of the operation Section 34 Dispersal Order has been pre-authorised & will be used if the criteria is met! http://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/...ted?view=plain

The message is clear, please come to the derby match to enjoy the football and respect the job the stewards & police will be doing.

There will be a minutes silence at all fixtures this weekend in memory of those who lost their lives in Paris so please bear this in mind if entering the stadium close to/or around 3pm.

Loads, this is your big day out in the city.

Look at you getting all giddy about how many you're taking, congratulations you took more than your average 700 or so to a game 15 minutes down the road! :)

Fact is we average far more than you lot away, loyal supporters.

You were struggling to drag 2k across to places like Rochdale not long ago, thousands my arse. This is Preston your talking about ffs, some of us have always had a close eye on your goings on so don't come on here peddling that crap.

You've had some good followings this season and fair play but so you should be seeing as your batting at your highest level for years. This Div is the big time to you lot, as good as it gets so it's only right you enjoy it as it may not last. A couple of seasons of going nowhere and you'll be back down to 3/400 hundred trailing you around :P

Garner is a little @#/?, he's our little @#/? though. Prepare for plenty of diving, pushing, arms flying round in the air etc etc. The fact we haven't let in a goal for 6 games makes me nervous mate.

Gally plays central aye, think his technical play is very underrated, his pace and strength however do let him down badly.

He's going to work brilliantly with Rhodes after January. Exactly what we need.
