Neal Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 How did you view the Preston goal after Grant had blocked the shot and the ball spun into the air ? Shouldn't Hanley have headed the initial header out of play? Rather than sending back down the middle of the pitch.

Mattyblue Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I see on PNE Online their bitterness knows no bounds. We made no noise apparently
arbitro Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Shouldn't Hanley have headed the initial header out of play? Rather than sending back down the middle of the pitch. That is exactly how I saw it. It was a really poor, weak header by Hanley back into a real danger area. Hanley was good on Saturday (as was Duffy) but their headed clearances under no pressure need some work.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 24, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted November 24, 2015 I see on PNE Online their bitterness knows no bounds. We made no noise apparently It's funny how bitterness leads to straight up lies. What an odd bunch they are with an inferiority complex!
Jock Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I see on PNE Online their bitterness knows no bounds. We made no noise apparently They are weird. It must be down to them having Small C___ Syndrome. Pathetic Non Entity.
den Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I see on PNE Online their bitterness knows no bounds. We made no noise apparently Well I was sat virtually on the half way line and without doubt there was only one set of fans making any noise - and it wasn't the nobbers.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 That is exactly how I saw it. It was a really poor, weak header by Hanley back into a real danger area. Hanley was good on Saturday (as was Duffy) but their headed clearances under no pressure need some work. Head it long, head it wide to the touchlines, if you can't manage that head it high and then make sure you get back under it again - that was what we were coached to do.
Gav Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Well I was sat virtually on the half way line and without doubt there was only one set of fans making any noise - and it wasn't the nobbers. You weren't the only Rover in the main stand den, saw a few go up after both goals. I wonder when the nobbers are going to finish off the ground, that stand to the left made of corrugated is missing an entire section of exec boxes. I still maintain the ground belongs in a theme park, should have a roller coaster fixed to the floodlights, or a PlayStation like on the pleasure beach.
Jock Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Dumpdale really does look crappy when you can see the back of the concrete steps from outside the ground. Obviously couldn't afford a brickie and glazier.
JAL Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Shouldn't Hanley have headed the initial header out of play? Rather than sending back down the middle of the pitch. No! he did what he did blocked the second phase how did you see his fellow team mate on the third phase ?Evertonian Wheelock gave Duffy MoM for me he failed in his job for the Preston goal.
Rover_Shaun Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Too many Championship Manager players on this thread. Proven 20 goals a season strikers are as rare as hen's teeth. End of discussion. Oh and by the way, Rhodes scored the most perfect penalty at PNE if nobody has noticed- there was only a ball's width between the keeper's finger nail and the post and he stroked it there. Rhodes is worth his weight in gold "at this level" but comparisons saying he would walk into past premierleague sides containing shearer, sutton, cruz, bellamy, cole, jansen etc etc are laughable. He could have snook in the 98/99 relegation side or Hughes' first side but thats it.....and thats even if he can even score at that level
Gav Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 No! he did what he did blocked the second phase how did you see his fellow team mate on the third phase ? Evertonian Wheelock gave Duffy MoM for me he failed in his job for the Preston goal. Chris Taylor was the real villain, he gave the ball away in the build up to the Preston goal, but he'll get no stick from me, 110% every time I see him play, credit to the shirt that lad. Duffy and Hanley were colossal on the day JAL, if they play like that every week we'll not concede many.
Guest Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 £3.70 for a squidgy tiny bottle of lager when it's the same for a full pint at Rovers. Visiting a flat-pack stadium like Deepdale from time to time is a nice reminder of how spoilt we really are.
Mattyblue Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I rarely visit a ground with concourses the quality of Ewood. 20+ years on and they still look the part.
BlueMonday Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 I see on PNE Online their bitterness knows no bounds. We made no noise apparently I was in the Tom Finney Stand and the away end was rocking and very loud. The noise levels were definitely winding the nobbers up, who couldn't muster up much response. And there was fair number of Rovers dotted around the stand, some more conspicuous than others. So there were more than the quoted 5500k Rovers fans on. Don't see Nobber around to chew over those numbers... Funny that.

He'll have gone back to supporting his first love - Liverpool, Manchester United, Everton, Manchester City, Arsenal and Chelsea.
tomphil Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 Best to just pity them I find, even before Jack came along we cast a long dark shadow over them.
USABlue Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 It could be Lamberts idea is closing the game down further up the field and trying to force the opposition into long balls down the middle knowing our centre halves can handle this. There is a difference between sitting deep, all hands to the pump protecting a lead late in games and just sitting off from the word go. How many times in the past 4 seasons have we been carved open time and again through the middle with no protection for defence. That didn't seem to be happening on Sat too much later on. Force the oppo to play to our strengths is all part of the hard to beat policy. We are going to have plenty backs to the wall times whether we like it or not but hopefully the onus will be on getting a few goals up first from the whistle. We just aren't good enough to out play sides over 95 mins every week yet and this league rarely allows it. Good post, did not look at it like that.
tonyoz Posted November 24, 2015 Posted November 24, 2015 How did you view the Preston goal after Grant had blocked the shot and the ball spun into the air ? It's a tricky one. As we see there are a number of opinions. Hanley's header wasn't great but I decided that he made up for it with his determined and brave block immediately afterwards. It then became Duffy's problem and he didn't deal with it - so I gave him O - even though a Preston player was on his hands and knees impeding him. It's all about opinions at the end of the day. I guess I should always include the opposition's goals in the lowlights!
Gary Paul Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 Just been shown a Facebook clip of noise we made on Saturday. Most be best Deepdale have heard. Haha, bless you. You came in good numbers, but i was very disappointed in your vocal support. Yes, ours was shiite too, but usually the away end at Deepdale with 5,500 in it would be absolutely bouncing. It just felt like we were playing Brighton, Ipswich or someone equally as uninspiring. You also sing that cringeworthy "Allez allez ooooh" chant.....which I was surprised at. Poor do. Sorry but, Man Utd, Man City, Liverpool, Blackpool and Burnley have all been in completely different stratospheres to your effort, in the past. Even teams with less than half those numbers....Tranmere, Wigan, Bolton, Oldham, Carlisle and Morecambe have had far superior vocal support at Deepdale. As I said, you came in good numbers, but were incredibly reserved, subdued etc compared to what we were expecting. Obviously I'm going to get the usual replies of "Well, your fans were rubbish aswell then"...............fair enough, I agree, doesn't bother me.

What an odd bunch they are with an inferiority complex! They are weird. It must be down to them having Small C___ Syndrome. Pathetic Non Entity. Why can't you just accept that you weren't that loud? It's not people saying they'd take a dump on your parents heads; it's opposition fans saying they were surprised how vocally quiet you were at a football match FFS. It's not the end of the world lads. Accept it, dust yourselves off, and carry on. This is the view from the home end, immediately after your first goal. You can hear absolutely nothing from the away end, apart from about 200 people singing "Who are ya" for about 6 seconds. If that was 5,500 Dingles, Lashers or PNE fans in there, the noise would be deafening. I suppose you're just a less passionate bunch than your Lancs neighbours. No shame in that, like. Another bitter PKE. Big Club That Never Was. Same old tripe from them. 'If we had that many, if we had that money, if we were in the Prem' Bitter about absolutely nothing. Brilliant numbers from Rovers, but poor vocally. Accept it like a man.
Rover_Shaun Posted November 25, 2015 Posted November 25, 2015 You also sing that cringeworthy "Allez allez ooooh" chant.....which I was surprised at. Poor do. This is from a set of bitter whingers who milked the pathetic "who let the dogs out" for three years after it's (relative) best. Get back in the shadows whence you came. Take it like a man

Bothered you enough to sign up on here and have a nibble though didn't it? Let's see how many you bring/how much noise you make at Ewood next year eh? By the way, we won the game, no points for noise made, but we'll gladly accept the three you let us have last Saturday Speaking of accepting it like a man, how did you deal with the defeat? I must say, I enjoyed the win!
