Huge lumps of the populations of Houghton, Walton le dale, Whittle, Clayton le woods, Buckshaw Village, Euxton and Chorley will suddenly remember they are die hard Knobbers now Wembley is on the cards ! I still think they'll fook it up in the usual fashion. Up yours Deggsy :)

Think you will find its Hoghton not Houghton

10 point deduction to start next season as Blackpool have been threatened with should suffice nicely whatever Division they are in.

Just saw the score and initially it looked close but looking at the times of the goals Swindon were 7-4 up with 5 minutes to play with Sheff U getting their 4th on 88 and then 5th to make it 7-6 on aggregate in the last minute and they would have still needed another goal to take it to extra time.

Crazy score though.

I see that North End are using See Tickets to sell their Wembley tickets - with a £2.40 per ticket booking fee and £2.25 per order postal delivery. It seems like this is a new fashion, as I wouldn't have thought it was because they don't have enough time - there are nearly two weeks to the game.

They and all the teams in the playoffs sold tickets for their games through the normal channels, some with less than a weeks notice. Just another blatant disregard for the fans.

Mike Newell briefly touched on the cost of watching football and was critical of the clubs and the stakeholders.

I'm not quite sure what you point is Arbitro. PNE did sell their semi-final tickets themselves, but then we sold tickets for the Liverpool games ourselves. It was only the potential semi-final at Wembley which would have been through Ticketmaster. PNE are doing the same, except using See Tickets. Swindon are using Ticketmaster. I don't know what has suddenly driven this choice but I'll ask at the Fans Forum next week.

John - I asked whoever runs the Twitter account nowadays to add the following to the agenda, probably only AOB items in reality.

A) what plans, if any do the club have to improve the fanzone next season?

B) why did the club not produce a commemorative programme for the 20th anniversary of winning the league?

:D

My point is that clubs can do it themselves without fans having to pay extra for a service that isn't needed, Hobsons choice if you like. Rovers recently challenged Huddersfield over their match day price but would have been prepared for their own fans to have to pay booking fees through a third party.

Supply and demand?

;) Hotels and flights both.

I might be in the minority on here, but I hope PNE get promoted. Not because I live and work in Preston, and have many friends who are fans, but simply for local interest for us and easy, interesting away days. We have lost Blackpool and Wigan mores the pity, but wth Burnley coming down and perhaps PNE going up that would compensate a tad.

My thoughts exactly, two local games that need replacing.

Well if they do it then along with the rabble coming down and the possibility of the Geordie or Mackem nations the crowd averages will shoot up next season. More nice lines to spin to Pune.
