Jimmy612 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I'll be honest, before Longsiders drags up a link to the Dwight Yorke article from years back, I've heard bad things on the terraces at Ewood- but not in YEARS! No one goes anymore K-Hod - I'm hard pressed to even earwig in anyone's conversation anymore!

JBiz Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 I'll be honest, before Longsiders drags up a link to the Dwight Yorke article from years back, I've heard bad things on the terraces at Ewood- but not in YEARS! It's less than 4 years since we where at Bolton listening to our "famous" away support singing racially horrible songs at the home manager. Simply due to his connection with Burnley. The country is full of dicks, just as many here/there and everywhere!
longsiders1882 Posted June 12, 2015 Posted June 12, 2015 Unfortunately there are still plenty of these types who attend my club - though these days it isn't heard often, they still think it and on occasion; as demonstrated, say it. If I was looking for a positive, something hat shows the fans and maybe even wider society has changed, then I'd look to the fact that a decent supporter reported it. Scant consolation as that is.
USABlue Posted June 14, 2015 Posted June 14, 2015 Can you imagine shouting that stuff in a public place? Calling someone a 'N' Good on the people that reported the idiot. Black folks do it all the time.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted July 8, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted July 8, 2015 Didn't they used to have a bit of a thing with Stockport? Not that it warrants excessive policing for a youth game like....
tomphil Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Modern day policing for you, some spotty oik will have mouthed off to someone else on social media and they go into panic mode lol
Amo Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/news/13375728.Clarets_friendly_cancelled_over_fears_of_hooliganism/ dingle scum You even got a shoutout.
Guest Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 Didn't they used to have a bit of a thing with Stockport? A Stockport fan I used to work with claimed that some Burnley fans beat up a wheelchair-bound Stockport fan. Can only class it as hearsay but I don't think she'd have any reason to make that up. Most clubs have an idiotic or thuggish contingent.
Gav Posted July 8, 2015 Posted July 8, 2015 A Stockport fan I used to work with claimed that some Burnley fans beat up a wheelchair-bound Stockport fan. Can only class it as hearsay but I don't think she'd have any reason to make that up. Most clubs have an idiotic or thuggish contingent. They also attacked a wheelchair bound Sheff Weds fan last season so its probably true Phil. Thankfully those involved are now probably crying themselves to sleep at our Majesties pleasure
Leonard Venkhater Posted July 9, 2015 Posted July 9, 2015 Didn't they used to have a bit of a thing with Stockport? Not that it warrants excessive policing for a youth game like.... Yes. Back in the 80's I worked with a few Stockport people and they always said County fans hated Burnley.
longsiders1882 Posted July 12, 2015 Posted July 12, 2015 Not me abbey, I wouldn't call a mate like that ;-). Haven't commented on there in a while, it always descends quickly into inarticulate 'dingle/bstards' slanging matches in every article. Don't know the full story behind this but for the record over the years Stockport fans have had a thing about Burnley so whilst you assume the intelligence was Burnley fans to kick off it is at least as likely to have been at the other end - or just typical police over reaction.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Slightly envious with them travelling to Ibrox for the Rangers friendly on Tuesday,a ground I would very much like to visit.Take a day off work for that no problem. A friendly to get the interest up and I'm sure we would take a good few..... Rochdale will have to do.
Hanks Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 Same here SG, I've been to several pre season friendlies in Scotland but with having Rangers fans in the family it would be a bit special. The chances of it ever happening now are sadly remote.
Butty Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Our dingle friends were 3-0 down after 10 minutes at Accy yesterday and ultimately lost the game 4-2. We beat Accy 2-0 last weekend so that's probably the only sort of victory we are going to get over the dingles this season!

We did it properly in UEFA Cup pal, not some meaningless friendly against a lower league Scottish team. By the way, not even shifted 1000 tickets, but they're @#/? off they've not been given more! Only on the deluded dingle site I tell you....
mhead Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Just think about August Away Supporters figures: Rovers 1200 Boro 2200 Leeds 2700 Bumley 12400 What supporters!
roverandout Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Burnley doing some good business, my tip for at least a play-off place
