Dunnfc Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 I would call being the top Lancashire club this season a success Even though i've a strong dislike of all things Burnley, i've found myself warming to there style of play as its very much Mark Hughes meets BSA styles. I prefer to watch competitive games rather than dull mundane tika-taka stuff. Same goes for Bolton and Preston, off all Lancashire clubs in general i hope we all do well this season.
longsiders1882 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Have you bought the new B*rnley kit yet, longers? Still waiting for the socks, they don't have my size in stock
Claytons Left Boot Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Is that most of eddies decent players gone and that big ginger no mark harping on about effort like some rugby league goon ? Considering the money you will have you ought to be top six but it's far from a walk some expect Whoah!! Rugby League goon? Stand toe to toe with Sean O'Loughlin, John Bateman or even Ryan Hampshire and say that. I'll bring me camera! Lol
Claytons Left Boot Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 A centre-half completely written off at 23, blimey. . I merely said he hasn't fulfilled his potential, which he hasn't. That's hardly completely writing him off.
Stuart Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Still waiting for the socks, they don't have my size in stockGo on, I'll do it:Six toes on special order?
onlyonejackwalker Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 He took Eddies defence from conceding 3 and 4 every game and within 2 weeks they were solid. I agree though he can now also be judged on what he's brought in. Big ginger no mark - only when viewed through eyes green with envy :-) So what's your prediction Longside? Tough division for the Northern clubs with 7 local derbies to factor in as well. Good job Wigan and Blackpool blew it. What order will us 4 finish in?
longsiders1882 Posted August 2, 2015 Posted August 2, 2015 Go on, I'll do it: Six toes on special order? Nah - I had an operation a few years back to remove the extra digits, they were holding my career back So what's your prediction Longside? Tough division for the Northern clubs with 7 local derbies to factor in as well. Good job Wigan and Blackpool blew it. What order will us 4 finish in? Jesus I'd find it easier predicting lottery numbers. But here goes, ON PAPER, we should easily be top of the mini league simply because right now we have the most stable set up, management and finances. However so far we have once again failed to address the lack of central midfielders and Marney is out long term injured. So far we have also not replaced Shackell. We also have to factor in the possible relegation hang over. On you, honestly not sure what state your squad is in. Keep Rhodes and you'll always have a chance because he does score, though selling him may allow you to add so I just don't know. PNE as a promoted side I'd have to say I would expect to struggle more than us, you and Bolton but again a promotion bounce can carry a team. Bolton must be close to being a complete basket case but I've not been able to keep up much with their transfer dealings and squad. So, to summarise, I'd expect (hope?) the positions in the mini league to be us first, you second, Bolton third and PNE fourth. As for how that will translate to league positions I've no idea - I would have to say that anything less than top 6 has to represent a degree of failure by us though. And before anybody jumps on me I know how hard and unpredictable this league is and I'm not expecting us to simply turn up and win games - and of course we still have a month of the window left where squads can change significantly. What would you expect the mini league positions to be?
Jock Posted August 3, 2015 Posted August 3, 2015 Dingle (they've only got one shirt) on ITV. He likes playing with the ladyboys of Thailand. I suppose it's a change from going down on his sister.

What would you expect the mini league positions to be? Like Neil Lennon and feel Bolton will be prepared and far stronger mentally from the start. Experienced Championship outfit. May be a bit of a dark horse. North End have a decent manager, bit of swagger (for now) and will be hard to beat at home. Teams will get at them away. May struggle for goals. I like your manager a lot and am sure he will have you ready and focused. Recent experience of this division will be an advantage, as will playing PL quality players less than 3 months ago. Wouldnt like to bet on you for automatic, but feel I'd get value betting on you being around the play offs. As for us, I'm a tad concerned that all is not well in our camp and think it might get worse before it gets better. A bad way to start any season. Still think there's some dross about though, certainly no better than us, even if Rhodes leaves. The derbies will be key for this mini-league. Looking forward to these matches if not the season as a whole. Burnley - Bolton - Rovers - PNE.
AllRoverAsia Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Mini-league prediction: Burnley - Rovers - PNE - Bolton Actual final league positions for the Mini-league: too scary to publish.

What would you expect the mini league positions to be? Interesting you don't mention stable squad Longers? Unless stable setup implies to the squad, but your next few paragraphs seem like you guys still struggling in certain areas, and to replace those who have left.
longsiders1882 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 The squad is stable but lacks balance in the middle. We've a few injuries and Shackell has gone. That said we only really need a CM and CD and we are fine but we've lost an excellent full back and striker, both gone to potential top 4/5 teams so we were never going to replace them with the same quality. Great thing is the season is all but here so the talking stops and we start to see how all the teams will stack up.
Iceman Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Mini league for me will be Burnley-Bolton-PNE-Rovers
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted August 4, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted August 4, 2015 I think Bolton will really struggle this season and be nearer the bottom than the top....
mhead Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 With all the 'scatter chatter' on here I had forgotten the Dingles were in the same Division. Escaping relegation by one place with Bumley just below us!
LewisF Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 22: Bolton 23: Nobbers 24: Dingles Would suit me nicely
longsiders1882 Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Nixon reporting on tw@tter we've put a bid in for Hanley ...
J*B Posted August 4, 2015 Posted August 4, 2015 Nixon reporting on tw@tter we've put a bid in for Hanley ... Its Nixon, so I won't get my hopes up. But good god, please.
Gav Posted August 21, 2015 Posted August 21, 2015 Dingles after Andre Grey but are only bidding 6m Bristol City had a 9m bid accepted, which indicates the dingles are bidding as usual with no chance of making the deal happen. They've been rejected by Lansbury, lets see if they get Grey on the cheap, the cheap B******S!
