Dingles after Andre Grey but are only bidding 6m  Bristol City had a 9m bid accepted, which indicates the dingles are bidding as usual with no chance of making the deal happen.

They've been rejected by Lansbury, lets see if they get Grey on the cheap, the cheap B******S!

BBC says a bid of £9m has been accepted. You may need to change your sources Gav after the over-estimate on the Gestede giveaway ;)

It's feckin 6 million more than we could offer Gav!

Your right but it's still a false bid. They'd panic if they accepted it. They'd then have to offer the player peanut wages to wreck the deal.

What they should go for Hanley for 5 million, we could do a 'bogoff' deal. Buy big head get Lowe free,

My sources on Gestede - Villa fan reading his local paper

My sources on Grey - burnley express

BBC had Rhodes playing up front for us away at Udders, so maybe you should change your sources :tu:

You learn nowt not going to games either Shaun :glare:

I quickly searched the Brum Mail online and found 2 references to £6m. No mention of add-ons at all which tallies in with Sherwood saying he got a bargain. I hope we did get more, but if we did Wheelock in the Venkygraph would have trumpeted it by now

He's signed for them according to claretmad.

And there is picture evidence of him outside the stadium.

Who's laughing now Gav? When's the next time we'll be able to spend 6m odd on a player?

This season sucks already and Aug bank holiday aint even here yet. :(

Kamy mentioned £8m inclusive of guaranteed add ons. He has been questioned about that and has committed to asking Derek Shaw about it in a forthcoming interview. I suppose he needn't bother now that you have done a quick search on the Birmingham Mail website.

The LT regularly gets slaughtered on here. Unless it suits.

You'll find lots of newspapers serve the Midlands Shaun not just the Birmingham evening mail, but carry on :D not even sure what relevance that has to the dingles.

Anyway you've just broke the new that burnley have bid 9m for Grey and its been accepted

Early in the pub today? :tu:

What I'm laughing at is the money game, not whether he'll sign Silas.

What are you doing on carrotsmad

Oh, ok, fair enough.

:D Checking to see what the cling-ons had to say about blowing most of their budget on one striker - bear in mind it's only a few short years since I took untold amount of abuse from them for a certain Championship club spending 8m on a tried and tested lower league forward.

Strangely, their opinions seem to have changed on the matter quite a bit. Shocker!

It's relevance is Grey (championship standard) is going for £9m but we sold Gestede (Premier league standard) for £6m when a lot of people claim Venkys only sell for top whack.

Big gamble this by the clampits

They haven't bid £9m Shaun! Bristol City did (allegedly). As for the rest, well, Gestede and Gray have had as much time in the Championship as each other so if they go for the same value, it's fair enough. Gray has had the same amount of Championship experience as Gestede, but is 2 years younger, so it stands to reason he COULD go for more money. West Ham have also been in for Gray as well apparently, so this is far from a done deal.

'Suggestions Burnley have bid £9m for the player are understood to be wide of the mark'.

Turning to the player, decent record, nowhere near as good as Rhodes, but decent.

Personal terms could scupper the deal, a bottle of benedictine and incest may not be acceptable.
