[Archived] SHAW OUT

Recommended Posts

This is just unacceptable. Hiring heavies to bully people who have the cheek to question them. Sounds like what's going on at Bloomfield.

We must get him out now. Wigan is the match to start the campaign. AFC Fylde could also be a lively game.

Time all the corrupt gang were ousted !

Venkys ,Shaw all the bloody lot of them !

Even Desai and the Rao's must be extremely stupid to not realise they need to take action especially as its coming up to the fifth glorious year of their and their project partners plan in November and an ideal opportunity for all Rovers supporters to contact them directly to thank them and join in the celebrations. Balaji likes a party so don't think he would mind

With social media etc. Lots of things could go viral within minutes , if they choose to remain silent perhaps a personal thank you from every supporter would be welcomed

It's important, that we somehow get rid of Shaw. I think besides Venkys, alot of our problems is because of this guy. I doubt anybody, would allow Shaw to continue running their business into the ground. Time Venkys are reminded again, of what this man is doing.

He probably knows too much so he'll need a big pay off to keep his silence. Also the way he came in I wouldn't be surprised if he isn't maybe representing some else's interest in the club still

Derek Shaw. Trying to explain to people that we had a programme seller come propaganda minister called Paul Agnew who sucked up to steve kean and as a result got promoted to lofty heights of power. He then appointed Derek Shaw as our chairman who still bumbles along to this day.

Can still route many negatives back to steve kean. But in a nutshell our programme seller appointed our chairman. Sure that's how most clubs do it.

After what was said in court by Venky's lawyer about Shaw his position clearly became untenable, in yet he is still in post.

It's one of the things that makes me angry that the local media, particularly the Lancashire Telegraph, haven't made any attempt to discover why.

My uninformed take is that Shaw is in post simply to tick a box with the Football League and that Bowyer is effectively manager and MD, hence the trips to Pune etc.

If you get the managers job at rovers it's like a tenured position. Regardless of ability or failure relative to expectations if Mrs d likes you (or your wife) and you're happy to fly out to India you are effectively unsackable. Fair dos you may not be able to sign all the players you want or perhaps not even pick your own team but the pay checks will come rolling in however badly you do.

Same goes for Shaw he seems to have no power or influence (thankfully) but if he just keeps his head down and mouth shut he also gets paid handsomely for not a lot. In fact that could be a job description for any position at rovers no ability or experience necessary you are not judged on a achievements just your ability to keep your head down and your mouth shut then you will be paid well.

I now include Shelfie in my bedtime prayers.

"And Oh Lord may you help Shelfie to see the error of his ways and hand in his resignation first thing tomorrow" Like a lot of my prayers about Bumley,David Dunn, Grella and Robinson's calories it has never worked.....YET.

Yeh well, the person that brought him in, who is now no longer at the club tomphil

Doesn't mean he might not still have some vested interest in it though.

The local paper that now attributes everything that happened in that era to Singh even though Shaw was the man signing contracts off. Even more bizzarely they rarely lay the blame on Kean and never mention tantric .I'd say he was very cosy with the local rag these days, free tickets galore probably !

It is indeed mind-boggling. Venky's have sacked MDs for less, but apparently Shelfy is a law unto himself who signs away £1m of the club's cash and drags them into a lawsuit and somehow remains in situ.

My only answer is that he agreed to be the fall guy.

Whenever I hear the term 'rogue' attributed to degsy do da it always makes me chuckle.

When Aggers brought in our esteemed nob ender he was on a short term contract, as with the likes of GB I'd expect he still is.

So nearly 3 years after going 'rogue' he's still in situ....

He's either rimming Balaji and Co or has copious amounts of dirt on them, possibly a combination of both.

Rogue? Nahh taking a hit for the proud Indians more like.
