Nothing embittered about me Paul, whatever "embittered" is supposed to mean. I am enjoying a comfortable, well earned retirement. I might have known what your attitude would be. Following the accepted PC way of thinking as you always do. You support the shysters who sell their made up stories to the newspapers then do you or is it that you just like to oppose everything that I post?

Could you explain why support for the victims of crime is PC? I would have expected the opposite view from yourself, there is too much sympathy for the perpetrator, but apparently not.

The point behind the investigation in to Saville, Heath etc. is to vindicate victims, uncover related criminal acts or cover ups and to prove the accused innocent or guilty. It would be very harsh on Heath for this not to be investigated as it has the potential to ruin his reputation. Or does that not matter?

Investigating possible cover ups is essential as it sends a clear message to people that no matter when a crime is committed on discovery it will be investigated. If it's PC to support the law where does that leave your view?

As for opposing everything you post that's nonsense. I'm simply putting a point of view on this subject where you seem very dismissive of the victims needs. I don't think this is right so I offer my view.

The wider issue here is ingraining in society the attitude that it is deeply morally wrong for any adult male to engage in anything sexual with a 12-15 year old girl.

I know I'm ignoring the minority cases where something different happens, but by and large, the above statement is the issue in society and always has been. Many 12-15 year old girls look biologically/physically adult and that's basically the problem.

Men in positions of privilege/authority in society, grooming/trafficking gangs, family members. Its always gone on, but at least in this country big strides have been taken. The main one being that its now illegal, whereas it wasn't going back a bit into the past and still isn't in many developing countries today.

To use a clichéd statement, how would Al or anyone else feel if it was their daughter/granddaughter who was the victim? I'm all for Operation Yewtree and any other investigations where victims' cases are taken seriously.

The point is that the police are saying that if you get a break in don't expect the police to attend because they don't have the time. They never will have if they spend all their time prosecuting dead people. Get your priorities right. Dead people and motorists or crime in the community. Your choice.

The police say lots of things, I'm surprised they have the time to make even a statement!

If it happened to a member of your family, I imagine you'd want the perpetrator brought to justice, whether they were still with us, or whether they were in the ground!

Depends Kenny. I don't include Heath in this but it seems to me that most of the ones crying rape are young groupies who offered themselves to the celebrities of their day then bragged about it to their mates. Maybe I'm just cynical.

So you'd have no problem if the members of one direction(all of which are in their early 20s or there abouts I think) engaged in sexual activities with those young 8-13/14year old girls that throw themselves at them everyday, you don't think they'd just be taking advantage of the fact that they are barmy hormonally messed up teenage girls.

WTF are you talking about, 8-12 are not teenagers for a start, age of consent in the UK is 16,

Take advantage under this age and it is an offence end off

"WTF" is your problem? you need to get your attitude in check, you're teetering on becoming a keyboard warrior.

my post was a question to Al(sorry sir if me forgetting to add question marks confused you) in response to his claims of "young groupies" just throwing themselves at stars and "crying rape" years later.

Just ignore my posts altogether yoda, end of

He's just a pillock looking for an argument and attention yoda. If you don't quote him the ones who have him on ignore don't have to read his drivel.

I'd maybe go as far as 14+ in that situation but 8-13/14 ffs!!! I think you might need counselling TJ.

I'd like to say the Labour leadership campaign has me gripped, but its hasn't, it has me embarrassed!

Corbyn aside, the other 3 are that blinkered, power hungry, that they simply don't realised how much damage they're doing to the party slagging each other off day after day, who needs the Tories!

The we have Blair and Brown pop up from nowhere trying to influence the democratic process!

Labour is currently unelectable, thats just been proven, we have Labour royalty from all quarters saying the party isn't electable under Corbyn, well he can't do any worse can he!

I'm not comfortable with Corbyns comments about Hamas and Hezboallah, but I hope he wins the leaders debate, the party members seems to be voting for him and thats democracy at work, despite New Labours attempts to put a fly in the ointment.

Why would you care a fig gav? You said you weren't a Labour voter.

I'm not Scottish either but I thought the referendum on independence was riveting, quite brilliant in parts, politics at its best.

He denies knowing the chap, just because he's sat next to him doesn't mean they're mates, but he needs to explain things.

Whats extremely sad is we all know his opposition for the Labour leadership are responsible for this witch hunt, they're incapable of beating him fair and square.

Makes me want him to win even more to be honest.

Me too! btw Gav you are in support of Corbyn so are you anti semitic and a holocaust denier too?

As far as his opposition. It's just about every Labour heavyweight thats strongly against him with the exception of Little ed who must still be sulking after all the knives that were stuck in his back after the election. He's conveniently gone on holiday. So gav given that you have stoutly praised them all just a few short months ago why are you so strongly against them now?
