Uck me it's hard work this, try reading the posts first then maybe you'll understand the point being made.

Blackburn was an example, to see them on the streets anywhere trying to drum up support would be good.....just doesn't happen unless it's managed like the question time debate.

But it used to!

Pass the sickbag. Thankfully, it's unlikely to happen.

Guardian reporting tactical voting in Sheffield Hallam to save the unctuous Clegg.

It's happening in a few places around the country and isn't against the law surprisingly.

My step son has been busy trying to swap his vote in Sheffield to oust Clegg, not save him.

Be intersting to see what happens because not only did he shaft the students, he was instrumental in Forge masters having to shed hundreds of jobs in the city when funding for a major contract was withheld by the coalition.

What does that mean in reality ?

I'm not 100% sure of the detail but apparently he's in contact with someone who wants to vote Green in his ward, and he's taking his vote to vote against Clegg in the Hallam ward.

I think a website has been setup for swapping votes.

Brand is like marmite, some like him some hate him.

If Russell Brand is Marmite, then Katie Hopkins is Vegemite. I'm surprised that out of touch bigot doesn't get more mentions on here, but since she's a big Tory supporter, that figures.

Back to Brand, though, even he, by his own admission, has never voted: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-24648651 It's interesting that he only ever seems to bash one party, given his general disillusionment with politics and the current system. I may be wrong, but I think thenodrog also said he didn't vote. Interesting that he and Brand have a major thing in common. Perhaps they should team up and get campaigning for reform.

Katie Hopkins is just a troll who says outrageous things to deliberately push people's buttons. Ignore her and she goes away. Ignorance is bliss!!

Sounds like a version of electoral fraud to me..... And we are already

trying to stamp that out around these parts!

Describes that Brand too.

I don't know if Brand is comparable to Katie Hopkins- he's acted in some films that have made some people laugh and done some comedy that some have enjoyed.

I'm yet to see a purpose for Katie Hopkins......

Admin?

Is it not possible to put an anonymous poll on here asking which party we are gping to vote for?(although for me personally I wouldn't mind if it wasn't anonymous)

Jesus, that's the worst scenario possible.

They might as well shut the North for 5yrs if that happens.

Won't worry you GAV. You are on your way south are you not?

Can't stand either of them but if pushed I would marginally favour Katie Hopkins.

Unlike some on here, I care about what happens to other people as much as myself, so yes it does worry me Al.

I'm sure they'd both find you and your believes pretty rupulsive.

I think Katie Hopkins has come out with far more repulsive things than Al's ever said on here to be fair. Not sure what the justification for your post was?

Boohoo.

since there is no poll, how about people just cut out the bs and say who they are voting for, I'm voting labour simply because they are the best of a bad bunch, represent my values closer than any others and locally they do a better job at in the area than any of the others could, the last 5 years under the Torry scum have been @#/? for me personally from a financial point of view and the minnow parties are just lightweights with nothing at all to back up their words

No problem.

I'm voting Conservative.

I believe the coalition has done a good job in extremely trying circumstances since 2010.

My political view is based on government offering a hand up rather than a hand out, rewarding people who want to help themselves, there is no better 'benefit' than the feeling of going out to work in the morning.

Labour's belief is in a parental society in which the government is happy to keep the poor in their place, taking government handouts and creating an 'us and them' mentality in which aspiration and success is something to be frowned at. I have always believed that Labour do mean well, but it is an economically illiterate approach. The lurch to the left under Miliband in which enterprise and profit is bad worries me greatly- what funds government? Tax, what creates tax income? Workers and the businesses/industry that employ them.

I find it amazing that so many working people still cling to this 'party of the workers' mantra, this ceased to be long ago, the party of Atlee and Bevan had a part to play in the post war development of this country, but it has lost its way. To me the party of the regular man is the party that provides a growing economy and the jobs it creates, raises the personal tax allowance and makes work pay over being allowed to rot on welfare.

I am sure I will now be painted as a 'greedy, selfish Tory', but nothing I have written says that to me, unfortunately a lot of those that lean to Labour are incapable of even comprehending that somebody could have an opposing view.

I'm voting Conservative.

The political illiteracy in this post is truly staggering.

The Conservatives are the party that represents the wealthy and the privileged and does everything in their power to transfer even more wealth and power to the tiny super-rich minority at the expense of everyone else. It amazes me that so many millions of ordinary people are incapable of understanding that voting for the Tories is blatantly voting against their own best interests.
