chaddyrovers Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Raya has been playing very well for the under 21's this season. Would have like to see O'Sullivan playing tbh

chaddyrovers Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Eastwood is injured and Raya is cup tied on Wednesday. So no point playing Steele today.
Husky Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Raya starting seems odd but I've been hoping he gave youth a chance, would have prefered it In a position we are struggling jn Well we have to give almost all our 27 goalkeepers a run out at some stage. Apart from the overpaid sack of spuds.
Backroom Tom Posted April 4, 2015 Backroom Posted April 4, 2015 Really that's a real shame for Eastwood if he misses out Wednesday
broadsword Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Eastwood is injured and Raya is cup tied on Wednesday. So no point playing Steele today. wouldn't he want game time to stay sharp? keepers don't expend as much energy as outfield players and are just as likely to get injured in a game as in training. More pointless dithering in my view
T J Hooker Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 always refreshing to see a youngster get a shot(even if it is a bit of a surprise) I know raya's been very highly rated by those behind the scenes at brochall for a few years)
Backroom Madon Posted April 4, 2015 Backroom Posted April 4, 2015 Who will be on the bench on Wednesday if Eastwood is out and Raya is cup-tied? Kean is still on loan to Oldham isn't he? Return for Robinson?
blueboy3333 Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Would have liked to see Lenihan and O'Sullivan given a run-out with an eye on next season. wouldn't he want game time to stay sharp?keepers don't expend as much energy as outfield players and are just as likely to get injured in a game as in training.More pointless dithering in my view Dithering? Bowyer's made a decision and decided to rest Steele with an eye on Wednesday. Surely that's the complete opposite of dithering.
Blueandwhitemike Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Pointless dithering??? Oh dear I am pleased to see Raya is playing, not seen him play but going off reports he seems like he has genuine potential to play regular first team football for us (I don't have much confidence in Eastwood, seen him be ace and awful, Steele has a way to go yet too) Hoping that O'Sullivan gets a good amount of game time, and plays plenty of the run in if he does ok. He seems to be our hottest prospect (after O'Connell leaving). Southport fans seemed to love him, Stanley fans seemed to love him and Barnsley fans seemed to love him... Going from the conference to league two then league one and making a big impact each time, I'd be pretty annoyed if I were him if he's been taken away from a very exciting and successful time at Barnsley to sit on the bench at Ewood. Would like to see Lenihan get on for Williamson (decent player for a mid table champ side, but he's getting on and I'd let him go as soon as his contract is up). I'd like to have seen Cairney in the middle, I know he's been very up and down there but we might as well play him there so he has the chance to improve and learn the position better (he'll never be a great winger IMO).
broadsword Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Arsing about then. Chopping and changing. No matter how well Raya plays today, he'll be dropped for the next game. There's no convincing argument for dropping his number one choice of keeper. does he think it's not an important game so he can play a weakened side? I thought we were going to keep fighting until it's mathematically impossible. Seems like mixed messages to me

More pointless dithering in my view Just to make sure that Steele isnt injured for Wednesday game.
broadsword Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Is he going to wrap him up like an Egypt Ian mummy and order him to stay in bed?
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 4, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted April 4, 2015 Cairney right wing? Arghh!
Mercer Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Good to see no sign of Hanley. Presumably, that's him out on Wednesday too.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 4, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted April 4, 2015 Good to see no sign of Hanley. Presumably, that's him out on Wednesday too. Yeah, out on the lash instead!
Husky Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Is he going to wrap him up like an Egypt Ian mummy and order him to stay in bed? I think Eastwood was injured by falling out of bed. I think he's got laminate floor in the bedroom - that's something the fitness team should be looking at immediately. Wool carpet fitters should be there straight away with a 20% agent fee.
Mr. E Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Wait...surely we can't be that unlucky to have Eastwood out for Wednesday? And where is King - he is the centerpiece of the whole strategy against Liverpool...
Mercer Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Match day time and just 9 members logged-in. Says it all really.
J*B Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Undoubtedly Hanley will return on Wednesday, Bowyer will critise one of the centre backs for any goal we conceed today.
Mercer Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 Undoubtedly Hanley will return on Wednesday, Bowyer will critise one of the centre backs for any goal we conceed today. and should we keep a clean sheet ?
Backroom Tom Posted April 4, 2015 Backroom Posted April 4, 2015 I imagine some of the other youngsters will get a run today although you would think he will try Paul Taylor first
Mercer Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 I imagine some of the other youngsters will get a run today although you would think he will try Paul Taylor first Not too sure about that. With Eastwood's injury, think it was Hobson's choice with Raya though delighted he's got chance to show what he can do. Trying to think of last Rovers' home grown keeper to really make it - Paul Bradshaw ?
J*B Posted April 4, 2015 Posted April 4, 2015 and should we keep a clean sheet ? If we keep a clean sheet, firstly you'll lose your bet. Which is good news. Secondly, someone will 'pick up a strain'
