Per Pedersen? (Tony Parks signing, bobbins)

Sean Curry

To name a few.

Jordi? Worthy cup legend though

Actually all of these are Pele compared to scared 11 year old Edinho JR

You said he's been outstanding in some games and of sufficient ability to spearhead our attack/

Now you say he's decent?.

I was quite sure that I didn't say any of that. I've just checked back and confirmed that I didnt.

Poor stuff.

To name a few.

Lenny and Per outscored Brown.

Mckinnon was bought from non league wasn't he?

Played handful of times.

I can't recall much of Currie.

Jordi? Worthy cup legend though

Scored in the Prem for us against Southampton. Fantastic header.

You definitely said : if he does spearhead our attack we could do a lot worse, and he'd been outstanding against Rotherham and Fulham.

I did post that, which I would suggest, is not quite what you quoted me as posting.

It's Easter Sunday morning in Australia and I'm getting the impression that my mrs would rather I wasn't on here arguing semantics and the merits or otherwise of Chris Brown.

Happy Easter everyone (well, almost everyone)

It's not about goals scored surely, all the above I'd wager are worse than Brown, but I'm not saying Browns any good!

Made it in the end. Eight floors up in the huge East stand. Nearly killed me walking up there. At least Newcastle have a lift.

The first half was a typical end of season nothing game, at times looking more like a practice match.

The sending off changed all that and Rovers took the bull by the horns. Tactically excellent, keeping the ball and moving it around as we did had Leeds knackered well before the end.

I thought Taylor looked a tidy player, nippy with good close control and looks to get forward with the ball.

O'Sullivan looked pacy and attempted to beat his fullback and cross whenever he got the ball.

Three goals, hit the woodwork three times and numerous opportunities missed at last gave me the comfortable league win I've been asking for all season.

Goals at least prove to be a quantification of talent, ability and skill.

Brown has yet to prove his talents or he has the attributes necessary to contribute consistently, or that he can improve or even sustain our current level of underachievement

Fulham and Rotherham?

I cant recall him playing well. It wouldve stuck in my mind.

I can only go off what I've seen of him.

I hope he plays as well as Parson says next season, cos he'll likely be spearheading our attack.

I thought Brown had a very good game.....and yes I went ;-)

The superior away performances probably ties in with how we have picked up when hope is gone.

It's a relatively young team that has been developed that are at least in part bottlers, when there is little pressure on they go out and play, when there is some expectation then they tend to buckle.

Very true Tom and with no real character or seasoned pros in the side will be ever thus. Good win for Rovers which does nothing more than highlight the underperformance of the team and management throughout the season. Exactly the same happened last year.

The positive is to hope this boosts confidence for Wednesday especially with Liverpool reported to have been thrashed by Arsensl.

Apologies, Gordon.

I obviously know nothing :P

How he's not at a bigger club, I'll never know.

What an asset Chris Brown has been for us.

I'm sure he'll really terrify the Liverpool defence.

He'll hold the ball up, dominate in the air,be a constant menace and if he gets a chance, he'll most probably take it.

Come out with all the silly glib comments that you like but celebrating a player's injury is reprehensible and indefensible.

In the second half it was really pleasing to our full backs really pushing on, something they seemed reluctant to do in the first half. It was us width and extra pace in the final third. Up to the sending off I thought Leeds were the better side with Austin being influential. When he was sent off we capitalised and were dominant and really could have won by more. As for the Brown debate he does exactly what he has done all his career, hold the ball up, win a few headers and work hard. I believe players of this ilk are in abundance in the lower leagues.

Overall a satisfying day for us but special mention to the Rovers supporters today who, although small in numbers never relented in their vocal support.

Nah! far worse strikers in our history than those, who were not that bad anyway.

Fryatt?

Frank Lord

One or two positive comments about Paul Taylor I see..... early days yet but that should really @#/? off quite a few around these parts. So thats good.

That is just how I saw it. I was proud with the team and the fans.

Flimsy response in terms of naming players he's better than.

I'm taking from 1983 onwards.

The ability or lack of it, to name players who supporters think are worse, is irrelevant. He is a player we have got in the here and now, lets get on with it . He is of a standard, that if you are going to continue to support the Rovers, you will have to get used to. In the future good days may be few and far between, so I suggest that when we do have one, just enjoy it.

Now Shefki Kuqi to Pedersen v fulham - that is an outstanding cross!

Remember that piece of action like yesterday. We scored an equally spectacular second goal in the same game.

Tugay volley direct from a Pedersen corner?

They were goals worthy of a World Cup final but they came at Ewood against an ordinary Fulham in front of 16000 fans.

Back to my last reply to you, if he excels at any of the sarcastic skills I listed, against LFC, I'll be astounded.

I can only go off what I've seen.

My original post was in reference to the games at Ewood.

I've yet to see anything praise worthy.

Maybe I should start going away games ,again.

I never used to miss one.

But things wore me down and drained my enthusiasm.

You may be right but letting off steam on here will then be even more necessary.

Some (plenty?) will not continue to support Rovers.

Always impressed when I've seen Raya playing for the U21s. He looked like a seasoned pro playing amongst kids 12 months ago, a bit like Phil Jones used to. He should really be starting next season as no 2 at Ewood and get one of the other two's 10k+ per week off the books.

Oh ok, fair enough. It's just that a few weeks ago you said your brother would be over from Brisbane for the Liverpool replay, in reply to me saying I couldnt make it from Adelaide. When I asked you how he could afford that you seemed to backtrack and say he had extended a Christmas visit (before the extended replay date)

Don't you remember that? Fair enough if you don't. You do post a hell of a lot. Or has one of us misunderstood?
