Roverall Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Bloody hell. Great performance. Liverpool fans were pathetic. The question is: why are we not playing like this week in week out? So disappointing...

perthblue02 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 A couple had off games but can't fault the effort , if anything just shows what our CD partnership and captain should be next season . Seen a few Liverpool were poor tweets , thought we stopped them from playing , number of times Williamson broke up their play lost count
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 8, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted April 8, 2015 Liverpool, Liverpool FC and everyone associated with it can go fornicate themselves. W@nker football club. Had a plastic sat next to me for 90 mins as well....
otto man Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 We made Liverpool look ordinary tonight. Proud to be a Rover!
Waggy76 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 If only we had played with the same determination and desire in our league games...
G Somerset Rover Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Killa definitely needs a new deal and the armband. Did the club proud.

Reedy You're A Star Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Great effort. Just wasn't meant to be. Play some of the kids for the rest of the season and prepare for next season now.
Mr. E Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Thank you to the lads for this game, they did their best. Our next real game is in August.
Exiled in Toronto Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Rhodes badly at fault for tho goal, should've tracked his man or blocked the run. I've been impressed throughout the cup run by Eastwood and the entire back four. Our midfielders I don't think are any more than mid table championship.
joey_big_nose Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 What's frustrating is we can't even seem to hoof it at Gestede.Biggest shame as every time it did get to Gestede he caused total panic. Feel we could have won this with better use of the ball.Still an outstanding defensive effort. Both centrebacks and Williamson great. Proud to be a rover. We need to find quicker offensive players. I thought of the attackers Marshall had a poor game, Evans a total waste of space. Cairney had a mixed performance.
Backroom DE. Posted April 8, 2015 Backroom Posted April 8, 2015 Cairney had a mixed performance. Thought he was awful to be honest, but he's had a poor season in general. We really need the likes of Cairney, Evans, Conway and Marshall to have some consistency next season if we're going to keep our heads above water.
Backroom Tom Posted April 8, 2015 Backroom Posted April 8, 2015 Really ya think? Are you watching the same game Tom? Premiership Liverpool verses Little Rovers and we made it easy for them? Yeah that sounded a bit harsh sorry
davulsukur Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 The magic of the cup should have seen Eastwood's strike go in. Boring and predictable to see Liverpool just about scrape through to Wembley. Losing the magic of the cup is like finding out there is no Santa Claus.
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Too many players anonymous going forward, along with Evans. Cairney provided some pretty bad set pieces as well. Back 5 and Williamson excellent, particularly the latter along with the CBs. Olsson the only threat going forward. He should have played left wing, not even with the benefit of hindsight. To have no pace in the midfield or attack is ludicrous. Baptiste MOTM. Did great to get this far.

We really need the likes of Cairney, Evans, Conway and Marshall to have some consistency next season if we're going to keep our heads above water. Think that's a bit harsh, he had a good effort, loads of the ball, and certainly looked our most dangerous attacker. Got his foot in as well. Wasted a few opportunities but created some too.Not great but a lot better than Evans, Marshall or Conway all of whom did virtually nothing of note, except Marshalls header.

Got his foot in as well. Wasted a few opportunities but created some too. Not great but a lot better than Evans, Marshall or Conway all of whom did virtually nothing of note, except Marshalls header. Don't remember Cairney doing anything other than lose or get knocked off the ball, that said I wasn't watching in the best quality so perhaps I'm being a bit harsh. Not saying he didn't put the effort in, mind. The team put in another good shift, as we always seem to do in the cup. Unfortunate that we can't put the same application into our league matches.
Amo Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Think we've found our future back four. Not much resale value on the centre backs, though.
G Somerset Rover Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 Seen a few mention him, and reflecting on it, Evans was awful. Or should I say completely, bloody, anonymous - as he has been all season. What happened to that box to box midfielder who looked decent last season pre-injury? Williamson played the role of two central midfielders tonight.
bigbrandjohn Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 we gave it our best shot. Ours is no disgrace. We had more shots than Liverpool in the second half. You need a bit of luck and you need to take your chances. Our game is always about what could have been. Thats why we come back for more. An Eastwood goal and extra time, who knows what could have been.
rhodie Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 I personally think we played well, considering we had a lot of injuries and a lot of ineligible players. It really was nice to see the supporters in flow and the stadium full.
Backroom Tom Posted April 8, 2015 Backroom Posted April 8, 2015 Looking around on social media and here it seems a bit of pride has been restored There are chinks of light appearing but the league is what really matters and next season we need to find the consistency
imy9 Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 We are lacking pace. Tunny in the middle, Taylor (Paul) and someone up front would be fantastic for next season. Currently we have Olsson For next season...and that's it.
Mike Graham Posted April 8, 2015 Posted April 8, 2015 GuttedGutted but a fair result.Rhodes worked hard in the 1st half but faded, Gestede made a big difference for us with his aerial threat. Baptiste was outstanding, Henley, Williamson and Cairney also excellent. Marshal was very poor and constantly gave the ball away; he did I prove in the last 15 minutes when he took it wide and to the line.
