There was a good few hundred left this morning which flew off the shelves until there was only single seats left. We could have hit 30k for this one... shame that people will miss out due to the OTT segregation measures that we're told the Police impose (nearly 1,500 seats in the home ends) in a fixture with no history of any trouble.

I am looking forward to a full(ish) EP. We seem to have a problem with our FA cup talisman King, and a pity if not fit. Thought it was reported by GB he was back in training back end of last week?

Is Rudy fit, seems we will know tomorrow, but if not we are weak up front, with JR. playing up front with a 5-man midfield?

We have talked about Scousers problems, but so have we? Wow, how long is it since King hobbled off after his explosive 2 mins?

Just hoping for a good show. Please.

Presume the Loons will be having a new chicken recipe party in complete ignorance of the fact their baby is playing.......

I guess a lot will depend on the injury front. If we haven't got either Rudy or Brown available then I think we're in for one tough evening with JR up top on his own.

A lot has been made about how Liverpool will be without Skrtel, Caan, Sturridge & Gerrard but no-one (media-wise) seems to have said anything about how we're down to the bare bones.

Just hope we can frustrate them for the first 20 mins or so cos if they score early I can see it being a hatful.

Can't wait to see Ewood full again - it's been a while!

COYB

Edit: Change my profile pic as we need more of this guy's attitude. A man who really was 'Rovers 'til I Die'!

And still you wouldn't pick rhodes

Your right he allows to much space between the link play and forwards Abbs.

Need some physicality and pace up top to stretch a limited back three of Liverpool. Rhodes is deadly at our level but have my doubts against PL.

Play to your strenghts literally. No Martin Turtle for them so a Kolo, Johnson, Sakho backline means physicality is a must!

You're wrong there, there's a fair bit of history with Liverpool. Not saying it justifies the segregation though.

Strengths ? Rhodes are best striker who scores ..goals win matches .

Not in the ground though except for the odd locally based pillock who out themselves. If there is history that the fuzz know about they should have cut down their allocation.

Not to mention the amount of Reds in the home ends.

Reds ?? Plastics more like !

True, but you picked Rudy, King AND Brown all ahead of Rhodes in a 4-3-3. If you've got Rudy's physicality & King's pace then surely you'd have Rhodes to complement them with his finishing, rather than that plodder Brown for a little extra muscle.

Not that we should be playing 4-3-3 in the first place, unless we want to get well and truly buttf*cked.

Am I having a brain fart or, if Conway doesn't make it, do we only have one 'proper' and established winger in Marshall? I'm certain Bowyer will once more waste Cairney in a position he isn't really any good at if it comes to it, but the shrewder solution would probably be playing Olsson on the left and Marshall on the right, with Spurr at left back. If Conway is out though, surely it's Cairney, Olsson, or Mahoney filling the void. No way would he gamble on Mahoney though when he won't even bring him on for a few minutes in our now irrelevant league games.

Too slow Abbs.

The system we have to play doesn't necessarily accommodate for our "best" players. It's tactics not a best eleven.

We've got to be rigid, stay tight and not concede before we can get a foothold in the game, we both know Jordan is a poacher and a very good one but this game isn't cut out for it and he lacks the hassling, physicality and tracking back what a Rudy or Browny could give us i.e essentially a five man midfield with a diamond tip.

Expect him to start then. :)

The Gary Bowyer team sheet as follows:

Could see a Marshy and Cairney wide role in a flat four with a lad playing of the main striker. Olsson on the left is a cracking shout with Marshy on the right to expose that back three of Liverpool, but i've a feeling Brenanola will welsh on that back three tomorrow night.

Last I heard Eastwood is fit. O'Sullivan and P Taylor cannot play because they were not registered Rovers players for the first game. Spearing is not allowed or cup-tied. Conway and Evans may yet make it. Henry went back to his club badly injured. C Taylor is injured.

But I'm really looking forward to us giving a good account of ourselves. We must back the blue boys to the end regardless of the score.

Even worse, the home ends will have plenty of plastic reds in them who crawl out for this game with their BB and PR postcodes.

Hope they have the sense to keep their gobs shut - although I suspect a lot don't get to football matches much.

The Rovers Twitter feed has been rife with locals wondering if they can wrangle a ticket.

'Can I buy one if I haven't been for a while?

'No problem, you'll still be on the database'

'Err, err, well someone else normally gets them'

Look on said locals twitter page:

'ynwa' '5 times'

The plague of the plastic fan.

He could be lying by saying King is out to Have Liverpool setup Differently?

Win or Lose I'm proud to be a rover

Totally agree with this (or maybe just wishful thinking) - but at the moment Liverpool don't know whether they need to worry about Kings pace, Gestedes height or Rhodes goal threat.

Or Hanley's capacity to defend (sorry drink) ;-)

Probably either scousers or a local trying to make a few ££ by selling tickets on.
