The Rovers have been the consistent thing in my life and have survived all other friends, relatives, jobs and places. The walk to Ewood has always been a special pilgrimage. Other Rovers Supporters are like 'my' clan.

So a lot of 2,some 5 and a bit of Revenge/Planning for the future.

Based on what Ian Battersby said about nobody would touch the club with the present seasonal losses. At one point he was an interested party but now states it's not a viable proposition. Can't be too many billionaires around who want to become millionaires by tossing away a fortune on the Rovers.

I think what Ian was saying is nobody is going to buy the club for the 40/45m that venkys paid for it now its been raped and pillaged. The more likely scenario is someone like Ian and his backers will buy the club for £1 once we're put into administration by those idiots in Pune, and if I'm honest that day can't come soon enough for me.

In our case we need to take 2 steps back to go 3 steps forward, we'll NEVER progress under Venkys, everyone should see that now.

A harsh dose of reality....NEVER before in the history of our club have we had such irresponsible and derelict owners.

I fear this is going to end so badly.

Lots of anger, lots of sadness, lots of confusion, lots of frustration. lots of everything that is bad. No acceptance of foolishness and skullduggery.

My Mum had terminal cancer. Bone marrow. I knew she didnt have long to live. She loved her football at the Rovers so much. She had seen all the lower league stuff, but enjoyed the Premier League once we returned. She supported the Venky's in face of my immediate criticisms and concerns, she supported **** and hoped for better, she hated the protests and fan anger and felt it damaged performances. She argued with me for going on the protests. We argued (Mum and Son arguing) about the situation and cicumstances and had ploar opposite views. .

I simply wanted my Mum to enjoy the last few years of her life doing exactly what she wanted and enjoyed. The Venky's, Kean and Anderson took all that away. She died last year. The last thing she asked me was how long the World Cup was away. 11 days I told her. More than most I have reason to hate the Venky's. They took my club from me and the small crumbs of enjoyment my mother could enjoy those last few months of a painful existance.

I have no problem with this generic post. Shaun loves the lcub like you and I, was clearly not trying to offend and I find it very, very childish that his views are criticised with the repetitive attendance issue that many on here simply cannot look beyond. Exiled in Toronto, USA Blue, All Rover Asia don't attend either. Are they expected to? Are they still allowed their voice? Doesn't make them any less of a fan for me.

Some posters on here go through the

'Oh great, new owners, we might qualify for the champions league' stage then

'Oh well at least we are in the premier league, we might spend a couple of million under our great up and coming manager keano' stage

Then 'damn and blast we are relagated, we will come straight back up, the championship is crap' stage, then

'Its much harder in this league than i thought at least the owners are pumping money into the club and he who cannot be named has gone' stage, then

'We are in here for the long haul and its where we should be, bowyers working miracles, we are screwed without the owners' stage

Whats the next stage?

That's how I read it too Gav.Getting the 2 Ian's in at Ewood to build some kind of plan alongside Venkys would be a hell of a start.and I don't think it would necessarily have to involve administration if they went that route.unlikely as that seems I can't see what Venkys would have to lose.Maybe they are scared sh1tless of letting some pro's see up close and personal all the dirty dealings that have gone on.Not only would the Ian's run a mile but would probably have to report the wrongdoings to the authorities!!

I bet that is one of Venkys biggest worries and why they seem always to appoint puppets.

There was a real groundswell for change when Kean was here - even though not many visibly protested.

I do wonder if there will ever be a groundswell against Venkys - and at what point that will manifest itself.

In a staring contest between the fragile faux-stability created by Venkys footing the bill every month, and the reduction in quality, entertainment and league position (as perceived by so-called ungrateful fans), who will blink first?

It's like a real life Trueman Show.

What will it take though before they really start getting it in the neck again, a Blackpool style demise ? Which could very well happen with sales. ffp and continued downscaling. If that happened we've got to look straight past Bowyer and in the direction of the owners. Sack the board would do no harm either, they are nearly all culpable. hopefully it won't come to that but who, where, what and how is the final tipping point for the diehards.

I'm between 4-5 constantly. I've accepted they're here and we have to move forward. I usually go to 4 though when I see the state of Ewood's ever deteriorating condition and the unprofessional, half-a**ed approach of people running our club (Shaw etc.).

They need to get an investor onboard, they need to invest in the fans and they need to employ football people.

They STILL haven't got a fookin clue Roverite, they appear to listen to none. The folk who admit they knew nothing about football.

Life under Venkys?....akin to having your hands and feet tied together and a thirty stone bloke with his hands round your neck.

A good article from Newcastle with some parallels to ours. There is a great line for all those happy with stability which says 'Stability is fine when it is the byproduct of competence. When it becomes the goal itself, corrosion sets in.'

Succinctly stated and exactly the point many on here have been making for donkeys. Especially when the levels of 'stability' achieved, relates purely to the supposed 'increased value of our players' and little else.

Only in Venkyland is it considered stable losing a fortune, getting relegated, adverse press and media coverage, regression, protests, alienating employees and losing half your customer base in one fell swoop.

Stability? if stability is defined as "sinking into a financial black hole of your own making" nowadays then stability is exactly what we have at Ewood. The stage of crying out for an benevolant invester to come along and save us are llong gone unfortunately. If Venkys don't care to lose another £100M the only chance of redemption is if someone is fool enough to pay something liket £120M for a club which is probably woh about £20M. That's why complete collapse is probably the only way back we have because it's going to happen 1 way or another and better sooner than later IMO.

Anyone else hear the smarmy Carragher supporting the supposed Newcastle fan boycott and lambasting the 'Geordie nation' owner on Sky?

Just where the hell were the likes of you when Venkys and Kean were smashing a wrecking ball through our club?

We had the Soccer Saturday nuggets kicking our fans left, right and centre.

It stunk to high heaven then and it still does now

Couldn't agree more.

Of course the correct answer is "New'astle are a big club like".
