We'll struggle. Burnley/ PNE will turn up around November and hammer us at Ewood, seeing us sink into the bottom 3, meaning 'Deadly Derek' will have to act. The best I can see happening is finishing mid-table again, with Gaz talking about it being a young squad still developing. zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Manager. Bowyer will stay whether we like it or not. Hopefully he'll abandon his unwaivering faith in playing two up front, it leaves us too exposed in midfield.

GK: I'm not entirely satisfied with neither Steele nor Eastwood, but none of them is a walking catastrophy and goalkeeper is an overrated position anyway. As long as one of them has a decent season we'll be fine. Robinson will leave, probably Kean as well. Get Raya out on loan.

Full backs: Get a damn specialist right back in, how hard can it be?! Josh Morris apparently had a good season out on loan, but I'd be hugely surprised to see him at Ewood come the start of next season.

Central defense: Kilgallon, Hanley and Duffy all have the potential to be good players at this level. A fourth defender on a loan wouldn't go amiss, Henry again? Songo'o will probably disappear on various loans until his contract is up.

Wingers: With Spurr back I wouldn't mind seeing Olsson moved up the pitch to left wing position, and Conway is a good player on this level when he doesn't have his annual slump in form. Chris Taylor is a reasonable backup, as is King (if he stays), but we still need one more winger who can challenge for a starting spot. Hopefully his name isn't Paul Taylor, we need to aim higher.

Cental midfield: So many interchangable midfielders... Don't sign Spearing, release Williamson, and let Evans and Lowe fight it out for a place next to a new, proper defensive midfielder. This is where most of our scant resources must go, we HAVE TO tighten up the central midfield. Cairney is a wild card here, if his defensive game improves he might take a place in central midfield as well. Keep either Lenihan or O'Sullivan as a backup.

Attacking midfielder: Marshall, or possibly Cairney with Marshall moving down to the wing instead. Dunn will of course leave.

Stikers: At least one of Rhodes and Gestede will leave, and while I hope it's Rhodes it's probably going to be Rudy. Keep Brown around as a backup, bring an up and coming striker in on loan, and in some magical way dump both Best and Varney.

So, all in all (in order of priority):

In: Central midfielder, right back, winger, striker.

Out: Robinson, Kean, Morris, Songo'o, Spearing, Williamson, Lenihan/Sullivan, Dunn, Best, Varney

Steele

NEW, Kilgallon, Duffy, Spurr

Conway/NEW, Lowe, NEW, Olsson

Marshall

Gestede

The only thing deadly will be acting on around then is making sure his PNE buddies take over every box in Ewood. Bet he was gutted yesterday :rover:
