Ricky Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 If we can keep him fit he could be an asset but that seems to be a big if. We do lack pace in the team and he certainly has that attribute.
JBiz Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Joshua King prolongs with Blackburn Teams striker , who has struggled with injuries at the end of the season , has extended his contract with Blackburn . Joshua Kings deal with the club actually expired this summer , writes club's Norwegian supporter . Swede got scant 20 minutes in yesterday's 3-2 win against Jonathan Parr Ipswich." That's a rough translation. Amazing news really if it's true.
thenodrog Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Remarkably good news if true. We need to keep him fit of course but a 4-5-1 with Brown doing the physical stuff and shouldering the spade work in the hole and King playing right across the front line could prove a very good partnership to base our tactics around. It would give defenders nightmares and preventing them pushing us up to the half way line so easily and squeezing play in our half.
Oldgregg86 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Great news. Let's hope he stays fit and gets games. Hopefully next season we get to see the best of him
chaddyrovers Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I really hope this news is true. Rhodes and King would be great partnership.
ABBEY Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Oh marvellous ... Let's all be thankful , can't wait for his 2 good games in the next 4 seasons.
Gav Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I can count on 2 hands the number of good games King has had in his time here. Yes he has potential, yes he has tremendous speed and ability but he hardly ever delivers. If he's signed a new deal I'd be shocked, especially after his lack of games and his moaning in the press. Nobody must have wanted him if true.
chaddyrovers Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 http://www.brscn.no/Joshua-King-forlenget-med-Blackburn/Nyhet/8913 LATEST NEWS: Today it became clear that the Norwegian Joshua King has signed a new contract at Ewood Park. Blackburn confirmed this afternoon that Joshua King has signed a contract extension that expired in summer to summer 2018. The Norwegian beaten to a hat-trick for Rovers in the FA Cup match against Stoke, but has struggled violently with injuries during the stay at Ewood Park. We hope this will be a new start for the player and the club. We'll be back with more.
donnermeat Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Wow really surprised by this, I thought for certain he was a goner. His pace will be a huge asset for us if he stays fit. Still not 100% I believe it yet though.

And proved so by Chaddy posting the same thing!
gumboots Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Wasn't the fact that bowyer said it was about to happen used as a stick to beat him with just a week or 2 ago. Wasn't it compared to hoillets contract under Kean? Hopefully this, if true, gives bowyer a bit more credibility and leads to fewer comparisons with the odious one.
Athlete Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Hope it's true and if Rhodes stays we could still have a good go at promotion But not holding my breath with GB in charge hopefully Derby will come in for GB has rumoured
McClarky Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 At least he is good at one thing, running fast with the ball. Apart from that he ain't great but pace causes chaos and he's always likely to be fouled or get someone sent off. Glad he's staying although he'll probably be injured all the time anyway.

Glad he's staying although he'll probably be injured all the time anyway.I'm pretty sure a decent manager could utilise that pace better
chaddyrovers Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Derby will come in for GB has rumoured has it? where?
Athlete Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 has it? where?Been doing the rounds for a week or so apparently come from an ex player . But mcclaren still Derby manager for time beingThink it's been posted around midweek last week on another thread as well
Backroom Tom Posted May 4, 2015 Backroom Posted May 4, 2015 Fantastic news if true well done Gary Bowyer and Derek Shaw for getting it done. As inconsistent as they come but absolutely unplayable on his day. Play him behind Rhodes and watch the space open up for rhodes again
arbitro Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 His potential is frightening, as epitomised by his FA Cup displays but his inconsistency can be infuriating. Hopefully he can add consistency to his game and become a real asset. Had his shot gone in on Saturday it would have been talked about for years to come.
blueboy3333 Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Great news if true. Oh marvellous ... Let's all be thankful , can't wait for his 2 good games in the next 4 seasons. haters gonna hate.
Backroom Tom Posted May 4, 2015 Backroom Posted May 4, 2015 It didn't and that sums him upAn amazing strike sums him up?You seem blinded by hate for him on this one Abbey, even when he plays bad he scares defenders and opens space he also whipped in a ball and put one on a plate for a striker on saturday Edit looks like there's a good chance this is fake and the Norwegian media picked up a spoof tweet
ABBEY Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Great news if true. haters gonna hate. Difference being ... Rhodes is PROVEN goal scorer King is proven goal kick getter An amazing strike sums him up? You seem blinded by hate for him on this one Abbey, even when he plays bad he scares defenders and opens space he also whipped in a ball and put one on a plate for a striker on saturday Edit looks like there's a good chance this is fake and the Norwegian media picked up a spoof tweet Not blinded by hate .. Dazzled by truth , the fact is this "amazing " strike didn't go in and was therefore no end product . 2 good games in four years doesn't make him Messi just messy An amazing strike sums him up?
