thenodrog Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Don't worry yoda, Gav's been 'on one' like this since last Friday morning for some reason.
savage90 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 Finally two good kits! I'd love us to play away in black again though.
pk1875 Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I'm pleasantly surprised to see a multi million pound deal, could this be a business friend of the owners?
Gav Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I'm pleasantly surprised to see a multi million pound deal, could this be a business friend of the owners? It's about time they started using the brain cell they share if true.
chris_h Posted May 13, 2015 Posted May 13, 2015 I'm pleasantly surprised to see a multi million pound deal, could this be a business friend of the owners? I think I read on here that Dafabet had been a sponsor at Everton. The suggestion was that one of our ex Toffee employees had brokered the deal. Good work either way.
doctorryan Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Wow! Now these are improvements. A palatable sponsor with a palatable logo (sublimated into the shirts!) and the proper design (correct shade of blue on the correct side of the kit) make this the best home kit since the promotion/League Cup winners kit of 2000-02. A return to the proper road color scheme (it should always be red and black) with sublimation to boot makes this the best home/away combo going back to the Mark Hughes era anyway. An international company with a bit of a high-end football sponsorship pedigree and Alan Shearer as its spokesman makes this deal a perfect fit (pardon the pun), for the moment anyway. Yes, the away kit is a bit ManUish. Get over it. Good designs made with decent materials and an acceptable sponsor. Very, very Happy.
davulsukur Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 That home kit is really nice. Best one we've had for ages.
AggyBlue Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Glad I don't buy one. Don't like these fitted styles, give me baggy any day.
Don Said Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Just to say the two 'real' looking images of the kits are only mock ups based on the drawing-like designs that came from the club, put on to 3D templates of a 15/16 Nike kit. So more than likely they'll be very similar but not exactly like that.
Amo Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 No love for the 11/12 home kit? Is it because of the connotations of that season?
chris_h Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 No love for the 11/12 home kit? Is it because of the connotations of that season? That and Charlie's Fleur de Lis.
Baz Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Halves home and away should be our trademark. Just have variations of the away colours each season (apart from claret). Red/black Silver/black Etc
47er Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Early in their "reign" didn't Venkys veto a sponsership deal with some betting firm or other because they disapproved of gambling? Or did I dream that?
Don Said Posted May 14, 2015 Posted May 14, 2015 Early in their "reign" didn't Venkys veto a sponsership deal with some betting firm or other because they disapproved of gambling? Or did I dream that? I believe on religious grounds, yes. So, much needed finance before personal belief now...
chris_h Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 So, if they don't change they're not learning - if they do change ..........
Atomicrover Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 What a pity, I was looking forward to a new inflatable Zebra as the one I have has worn out.......

Plastic Head Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 I think I read on here that Dafabet had been a sponsor at Everton. The suggestion was that one of our ex Toffee employees had brokered the deal. Good work either way. Wrong. It was Jerome. There is even a testimonial on the SEM website from them. Anyone who thinks they ever went away dream on. While there is only a tea lady and cleaner in this country to watch over Rovers it is still playtime for the likes of Anderson. http://www.sem-global.com

tomphil Posted June 5, 2016 Posted June 5, 2016 Wrong. It was Jerome. There is even a testimonial on the SEM website from them. Anyone who thinks they ever went away dream on. Swap Marketing for Media.

In fact they have only been called SEM - Sports Entertainment Marketing LTD since May 2014 and were previously called something else. A clever move in one way, but if your a rovers supporter not so much
