Just seen the news about the beeb journislsts have been arrested in Qatar for reporting the conditions of workers there. Crazy corrup Blatter knows best.

Yeah I read that earlier. Disgraceful carry on. We can only hope that Blatter is ousted when the elction takes place and that someone more responsible and less apparently wrong gets elected. However, he remains immensely popular with some associations, presumably because they get things from him like world cups they shouldn't even be considered for, and so they vote for him

They're not the first ones, a few weeks ago two German journalists from Die Zeit (i think) also were arrested and detained.
