We had a topic with advice for renting out property before the server went down.

This thread had some really good advice for renting out property, and which agents to deal with and which not, as they're in the main useless sods that would their own mothers for the right price.

Any advice would be most welcome, thanks in advance.

Landlords forums could help. A lot of people give landlords stick but it's often people who aren't in a position to sell. There are some bad landlords but the law does favour the tenants. As much back ground checks as possible. Letting agents can be very slack, they only care about their cut.Good luck.
