arbitro Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 BBC have already got it covered. Within hours of the sacking Kick it out were on the case. For some reason the colour of his skin is an issue when he gets sacked yet wasn't when he was appointed. Nothing to do with them being 13th in the league despite spending millions and having a strong squad. I don't see why they can't stick to the football rather than get political about things. He got an opportunity that he probably didn't really deserve in the first place and has a 20odd percent win record. Hasn't worked out and he deserves the sack. This is a really good article with Townsend trying to justify his job and Sinclair speaking lots of sense. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3305179/Sackings-Chris-Ramsey-Chris-Powell-disheartening-black-managers-says-Troy-Townsend-hints-just-bad-results.html

chor808 Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 I went to Brackley and watched Sinclair play. I did not realise it was him but he stood out on the pitch and was bossing everyone around and shouting out directions, a proper leader. I expect we will see him a managerr at some point. They both were sacked on results nothing to do with skin colour. When are we going to stop putting people into brackets, black manager, white manager, they are just managers.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 6, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted November 6, 2015 Chor nails it. Arbitro is also bang on, Townsend is trying to justify his role. They got sacked because results weren't good enough. Anything else is mischief-making.
Mattyblue Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 The Championship is a graveyard for all managers of whatever background, BRFC aside, of course
JHRover Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Nigel Pearson's odds to be the next QPR manager have shortened dramatically today. Any news on their punishment yet? Lol.

JBiz Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Bowyer had the best midfielder in the league (by most measures) on his hands on much lower money than Evans etc, but he didn't play him then let him go on a free. Alan Judge created more goals than any other midfielder in the league this last season. Imagine if he had Rudy/Rhodes to feed. Bowyer should be judged on this error, he's probably worth a couple of million now and is being linked with a move to the premiership. Do Venkys know this fact? Do they care? http://m.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/13948739.Gary_Bowyer__I_never_wanted_Alan_Judge_to_leave_Blackburn_Rovers/?ref=mac I agree on judge- wish he hadn't spoken to the papers after 2 months of being here ablout not playing! The article doesn't mention this but as GB says these things happen in football. You replied to a post I made with one example, and this article explains it.

Have you and K-Hod made a pact to be good cop, bad cop? Bowyer can do absolutely no wrong in your eyes, no matter what evidence is presented, you seem to have made it your mission to play devil's advocate or something.

It's quite ironic that you see it that way, because I see your posts the exact opposite. As in no matter what happens under GB, you'll focus on the negative! Neither of us are Wums, so both viewpoints are just that!... Viewpoints! Not sure why you bring Khod into it, he's allowed his opinion much like me, and trust me.. It certainly differs on things!
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 6, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted November 6, 2015 Probably because he knows we're mates Joe. Anyway, it's Friday night! Get to a bonfire, have a beer, neck a toffee apple (or a female ;-) ), don't waste away on here!
JBiz Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Believe it or not I'm at Ewood tonight for a charity do!

But there are very few positives with Bowyer's tenure and far more reasons for him to be replaced that for the fans to persevere. The back under their stones comment was the last straw for many but it seems you will not be deterred. I only brought K-Hod into it because I know you are pals and he has a very different view on this topic to you.
Stuart Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Believe it or not I'm at Ewood tonight for a charity do! Are you performing?
JBiz Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Are you performing? No- players lounge charity do. I suppose it sums it up- just looking out on the pitch with pint in hand, particularly over riverside - I feel love for this place. Often in love we can't help but see the best in things! I'm not a WUM or devils advocate stu, I just post how I'm thinking!
roverandout Posted November 6, 2015 Posted November 6, 2015 Believe it or not I'm at Ewood tonight for a charity do! I don't believe it!!!

I just don't agree with 95%?of what you post! Hope you're having a good night.
arbitro Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Another example of the lottery that is FFP. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3307755/Bolton-Wanderers-staff-fear-jobs-amid-concerns-club-s-financial-stability.html
JHRover Posted November 7, 2015 Posted November 7, 2015 Its ridiculous. FFP was introduced supposedly to try and prevent clubs from ending up under mountains of debt and considering administration, Bolton have somehow managed to comply with the rules yet are in the worst financial state!
davulsukur Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 According to the telegraph Symons might get the bullet at Fulham.
chaddyrovers Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Fulham owner has said he expects a top 6 finish this season.
Mike Graham Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Fulham owner has said he expects a top 6 finish this season. He is living on planet Zog, a bit like Bowyer.
chaddyrovers Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 He is living on planet Zog, a bit like Bowyer. I believe Kit Symons was set this target at the start of the season
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted November 8, 2015 Moderation Lead Posted November 8, 2015 Bowyer set himself that target after the final game of last season as well let's not forget.
Backroom DE. Posted November 8, 2015 Backroom Posted November 8, 2015 Bowyer set himself that target after the final game of last season as well let's not forget. We're top of the Should Have League Table (Sponsored by What If?), so all is well.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted November 8, 2015 Posted November 8, 2015 Targets dont get set at Ewood...we just bumble along.
