Best business of the summer was getting shut of Cairney.

He was lazy and useless last season.

Clearly not much change at his new home :-)

We are comfortably on top of the 'We don't sack our Manager' league. That's all we'll win for the foreseeable.

We are and then we like to change them every 50 days or so. We are due a crazy spell soon.

Almost every club around us has sacked their manager now, haven't they?

Wolves

Leeds

Rovers

Preston

Forest

Huddersfield

Bristol City

MK Dons

Charlton

Bolton

Rotherham

Clubs in bold have all sacked their managers this season. You can really discount Preston, MK Dons and Bristol City as they've only just come up and expectations will only be to avoid relegation.

Fair to say Bowyer is fortunate we have stay away owners. Surprised Lennon hasn't been given the boot yet actually - maybe Bolton can't afford to pay him off or hire anybody else.

Middlesbrough have been allocated the whole of the Darwen End again.

I think that's fair enough Tony, and I say that as someone who normally sits in that end. Hopefully we'll fill the other three sides of the ground and make it a cracking atmosphere that day (hope its a better game than last season's though!)

Given that Sheffield Wednesday are doing well I thought they might have given the Darwen End to them also.

Same. They would have filled it no problem. That home game against them under Kendall is still one of the best atmospheres I've ever experienced at Ewood, rivalled only by when Bolton got promoted with Worthington scoring, and Newcastle on VE Day 1995 (leaving Dingle games aside)

I just read that Phil Gartside is seriously ill and crisis club takeover Mr fix it, Trevor Birch will handle any takeover talks. Bolton fans must be extremely worried.

I hope he pulls through. He's a bit of a prickly character but he's Bolton through and through.

According to my Bolton fanatic acquaintance all sorts of stuff is coming out about the mess they are in now Gartside is sidelined. Admin awaits, worrying considering most of the debt is supposed to be owed to their owner :blink:

He'll need to get his act together and get a few big fights in first then. I think Mayweather would struggle to sort that debt out!

According to a lot of them he's been bleeding the club since he set foot in the door so you never know, maybe they are just referring to the external debt.
