from the outside perspective Fulham is a much more stable club with more potential. Strange they're struggling for a manager, less so for QPR.

Back in April the Secret Footballer was talking about how no-one would touch the Fulham job

QPR beat Reading away tonight. Not a bad result for us. QPR pull away a little, but Reading stay closer. A win on Saturday could potentially have us within three points of getting into the top half - not bad for a team that has so far only won 4 games all season.

Interestingly Steve Coppell was sat with John Madjeski at their game last night.

Coppell did well there a while back, but I think he left his last job and retired from football management. Not sure if Madejski has much power there any more, but he might have some sort of non-executive role on the board mind.

I was thinking that he could act in an advisory role. It's a bit of karma for Clarke as he was quite prepared to leave Reading for Fulham on recently.

Yeah, that's true. He has been a DOF as recently as last year at Portsmouth.

I suppose at least Steve Clarke (from his POV) has gained a whopping pay out (as Sambo spotted!!) and could walk into the Fulham job in theory.....

There are Reading fans on Twitter suggesting that they WANT Kean.

That's beyond hilarious. I'm amazed anyone other than us still remembers him. Personally really, really hope they get him if that's what they want. He can do dreadfully with them and prove that little bit more (as if its not been proven enough already) that the Rovers fans were right the whole time. And its revenge on 1/91st of the fans who were complete d**** to us during that period.

I'm torn,

I want Kean to crash and burn at another club here just to show how useless he is, and to stick two fingers up to those who derided and criticised us.

Then again, the odious cretin does not deserve another well paid job with media exposure and attention.

Leave him be in Singapore, managing the only professional club in the league, backed by the Singapore Royal Family, still just about winning the league despite the quality being better on a Sunday morning at Pleasington.

Reading must wish Clarke took the Fulham job - now they've had to pay him off! He was fighting a losing battle from the moment he talked to Fulham

To be fair as soon as a manager wants to go to another club the writing is on the wall. It shows the manager no longer wants to be there and that affects everything. Hard to blame the board for letting him go, but as Sambo said they should've got the compo and encouraged him to take the Fulham job.

The bald Unt managers Brunei DPPM who are one of 3 foreign Clubs who play in the 10 team Singapore S League. If I said compare them to Chorley FC then I would be doing Chorley a gross disservice.

Singapore Royal Family did make me laugh though for reasons nothing to do with football ^_^ ^_^

According to some Fulham fans on twitter its between Stuart Gray and Stuart Pearce for their head coach job there.

Also Pearson is the odds on favourite for the Reading job with the betting odds

Not sure about Pearson at Reading given who their Owners are. Maybe the Father but son James has no chance.

Gary Bowyer has declared his interest in the Reading job.

'Of course. I'm looking to get back in as soon as possible. Football and management has been a huge part of my life, all my life'

If Kean is even remotely in the frame then Bowyer would be a far more sensible appointment.
