tomphil Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Bolton receive winding up petition due to unpaid tax bill. http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/news/14138033.BREAKING__Wanderers_receive_winding_up_petition_over_unpaid_tax_bill/ Ridiculous they've ended up in this state, I know that so far we've been ok because the owners are somehow paying the bills but others have come down skint and avoided this. Don't know if it's correct but a Bolton mate tells me Gartside was on about 800k per year total. Also no way have they paid off as many as us although they did retain quite a few on big money but where has all their parachute cash gone ? Same old story in football, a load will have filled their own pockets whilst the club goes to the wall. FFP my arse !

mhead Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Never mind that....low bid for Zac Clough as soon as possible.
tomphil Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Bad injury at the min but yep, no reason why we can't join the que of vultures that will be circling the carcass soon
Steve Kean's Hypnotoad Posted December 10, 2015 Posted December 10, 2015 Like us appointing GB down the line ..? reallyyyy ??? BM took Reading to ninth ..the play offs then automatic promotion in three seasons , taking them into the Premier League with no investment totally p*ssing over what GB did and will ever do wherever he surfaces again. Then took Leeds on ..which was only ever going to end one way. Decent MANAGER ..and a decent BLOKE. BM 2- GB 0 Far more inclined to agree with this comment. He was brilliant at Reading, why wouldn't they have him back? Yeah he failed at Leeds, but that's like failing at Newcastle. Practically inevitable!

BM 2- GB 0 I meant relative to what 'supposedly' bowyer had to put up with financially compared to readings situation at the Time of his first appointment
Neal Posted December 11, 2015 Posted December 11, 2015 Don't know if it's correct but a Bolton mate tells me Gartside was on about 800k per year total. Thats quite common knowledge among Bolton fans. Shame their squad is sh*t, would have been decent opportunity to try and get a few on the cheap. Mark Davies (on his day/when fit), Clough and Clayton are probably the pick of a poor bunch.

They're not bottom of the league without a reason.
Backroom DE. Posted December 12, 2015 Backroom Posted December 12, 2015 Ipswich one up early on at the MK Dons. Amazing that we got thumped 3-0 by the Dons, they are crap. Bowyer should have been sacked the second that game finished.
Husky Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Bowyer should have been sacked at least 1 year ago. Those of us with even half a brain could see that........the others....well.........maybe there's something in the water in some parts of Lancashire. Anyway, QPR or Burnley today? QPR are the only team that can put us back at the top of the bottom of the league with a win.
Backroom Tom Posted December 12, 2015 Backroom Posted December 12, 2015 O'sullivan sent off, what an impact he's making there!
the original david brent Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Rovers have moved up a place as a result of Reading getting beat and QPR not winning.
Wing Wizard Windy Miller Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Results could not have gone much better today
sharpysharps Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Incredibly a win on Monday could see us up to 7th in the table on goal difference, albeit temporarily before the rest of the teams play on Tuesday night. This is providing Cardiff draw with Sheff Wed

I wonder if the team will get the heebie Gazebies again when confronted with the possibility of lofty heights....

had.e.nuff Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Cant believe yet again how many draws today just shows back to back wins push you up this league .
Blue blood Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Can I just say that I am delighted with Lambert as manager and think he is doing a fantastic job. HOWEVER I'd also like to acknowledge the great job Grayson is doing at Preston. They're a small club in this league - at least one league above where they should be imo - and are currently 8 points above the drop zone. The idea that Grayson can't cut it in this league is a myth imo, and Preston punching above their weight is one example of this. I expect Preston will probably drop down the table a bit but nevertheless it shows Grayson knows what he's doing and is a good manager. Would certainly have had him at Rovers. Happily, that wishful thinking isn't particularly needed thanks to our latest appointment, but I figured it wouldn't hurt to mention the good job he's doing.

Best in the game.

had.e.nuff Posted December 12, 2015 Posted December 12, 2015 Not very bright from Nugent today misses the boxing day game and two others (dingles and brighton)
BlueMonday Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 You mean the ones that wanted him gone earlier in the season. They're pretty forgettable imoI was being ironic BB, doesn't always translate well in a post. They were on here a few weeks ago telling us how spiffing they were.
philipl Posted December 13, 2015 Posted December 13, 2015 Not very bright from Nugent today misses the boxing day game and two others (dingles and brighton) This could be very important for Rovers. He has knocked quite a few goals past us down the years.

adopted scouser Posted December 15, 2015 Posted December 15, 2015 Only 10K on for nob end tonight. Lilywhite ? Sounds like a tampax
