Hope by the time we play them next week the players still haven't been paid and the daggers are out for Lennon with the crowd. Moral at an all time low = just what we need with the manager we have now who'll go for the jugular.

Knowing our luck they'll have been taken over and paid and be rejuvenated.

Looking more and more.like a terrible terrible appointment by Bolton. We can chuckle now at the fact that so many of those managerial experts on here were jealous of Bolton when they hired Lennon. Many saying we'd missed a trick, how do they feel now I wonder.

I was one of those. At the time I'd have taken Lennon over Bowyer, and I stand by that. Sounds like he isn't a particularly nice guy if reports are to be believed but since when was being a nice guy a prerequisite for being a good manager? If suggest that Bolton's fortunes are a little less to do with Lennon and more to do with their financial situation though. At the time of Bowyer's departure we were a mere 6 points ahead of them and looking downward.

How do I feel, now that we have replaced Bowyer with Lambert, Irvine and Kelly...?

Delighted. 🎅🏼

I applaud your honesty, still Bowyer looks to have been the better option to me though. Obviously now we have Lambert and co we can all feel good. Lennon looks to be neither a good man, person or manager.

Finding it really hard to have any sympathy for Bolton.

Boltons squad is pretty poor these days and they are still quite hard to beat, draw a lot etc. I'd back Lennon with a better squad for sure, his hands have been tied at notlob since he got there and I'm surprised he actually took the job.

I'd have taken him over Bowyer at any stage from last Dec to be honest. Contrast the situation at Bolton and ours then factor in all GB moaning, crying and excuse making and you realise he didn't have it that bad at all. Lennons never come across as a nice guy and he certainly looks a chuunt but we know what happens when you employ nice guys.

Plus of course a major difference between them and us over the past 12 months is we have the much maligned Rhodes.

Hasn't been it well known for some time that Lennon is a scumbag? I never wanted him here - would have chosen Bowyer any day of the week. As for the red-top stories, just sounds like the chronicles of a group of morally bankrupt idiots. Hard to feel sympathy for any of them.

The most shocking part of that story is that the pug ugly ginge managed to have 3 women on the go at the same time.

And you know that they'll be fit as.

Bolton's squad is what it is, put togetherby THREE managers at who at some point would have been preferred to GB.

You can not possibly know what Lennon would have been capable of with this squad. It's as easy to say he would have done better as it is for me to say he would not. Proof of the pudding to me is in the league table and apparently bad guys don't necessarily do so well either.

Don't get me wrong I was more than ready for Bowyer to be gone, I just find it amusing how our resident "experts" get it so wrong too. Myself being horribly wrong on many occasions, it's part of what makes our game so fun and such a big part of our lives.

Just highlights how desperate we were for change though really when it became clear Bowyer had run out of steam 12 months ago. What the squad needed then was someone to come in and just put out the best side available, organise it, leave it alone and crack the whip. I think someone like Lennon would have done that, longer term though your right it could have gone either way but I'd have taken the punt that's my point.

Anyway it's worked out for the better as I'd have taken Lambert over the pair of them and a host of others. We were in calm hands before, now I think we are in strong hands :tu:

Choosing a manager is always a gamble as the Red Rats are currently finding out. So nobody know's how things will pan out with a new appointment . I'd have taken Lennon over Bowyer in a heart beat. It would be easier for me and it would be a much shorter list if I wrote down who I wouldn't have taken over Bowyer. Lennon may or may not have taken us down, with Bowyer it was nailed on.

Sounding like Lennon has left Bowton. Just knew this would happen, another new gaffer bounce on the 28th ?

Can't see anybody of note going to Bolton right now. No excuse for not beating them.

Would need to be a bloody big bounce! If Bolton's players still haven't been paid by the 28th I think a fair few of them will be looking to get out of the club anyway, which should give us the edge in terms of motivation.

Bolton have launched an internal investigation, apparently. Sounds like they're trying to remove him through breach of contract, so they don't have to pay out compensation. Not an ideal situation with a relegation crunch match coming up...

Agreed- also these things have to be done on due notice so if Bolton are going this route (and financially they have no alternative but breach of contract), then unless they can safely dismiss for cause (dubious because it is red top tittle tattle and unrelated to his discharge of duties on the football side unless the Police bring charges), they won't get him out of office before 28th with Christmas intervening.

Aye. They have to be careful or they could end up getting sued themselves.

If the red top tittle-tattle is to be believed then she was staying with him when on company business. That would surely be where they would go.

Can't help but think this is a leaked story for the purpose of avoiding paying him / off. If things had been going well for Bolton then I imagine "his personal life" would never have been an issue.

Still if he has been allegedly cheating on his wife then I've no sympathy. That said, it sounds like she knew what he was like according to the reports.

Lennon officially staying on as Bolton manager. Seems they couldn't find a way to bin him for breach of contract.
