Was talking to a mate of mine earlier works at Lancashire police. They've been sorting out the arrangements for the Burnley game and he says that Rovers are going to be given a maximum ticket allocation of 2,200 in the cricket field end with Burnley season ticket holders in the other side. Burnley are not prepared to relocate those people or give Rovers more tickets. To add icing to the cake all Rovers supporters will have to meet at Ewood to be bussed into Burnley with no exceptions and no collections at Clayton as in previous seasons.

Cast your minds back to the game at Ewood this season when Rovers gave Burnley 5,000 tickets and went to the trouble of turfing season ticket holders out of their seats in the Riverside and Jack Walker stands to provide additional segregation. Then Burnley fans were able to meet up in Blackburn to get the bus to the ground with independent buses allowed to go under their own arrangements.

This guy knows his stuff so I don't doubt he is correct. I knew that this would happen and it's a disgrace we sit back and take it.

Why would they not be prepared to move Burnley fans out of the Cricket field stand when,to the best of my knowledge, they have not been sat in that stand all season?

Continuing with the draconian nonsense of this fixture coupled with our season going nowhere again. live tv at dinner time and £40 odd for the privilege of turning a 2.5 hr day into a 5 hr one just to be rammed in that dive I can understand the demand for tickets not being huge.

About 2600 last time so we wouldn't likely need all the end which is a shame but a sign of the times. Allowing clampets in the other will be asking for trouble just like last time but guess what, it justifies the police overkill when it kicks off a little bit ;)

Big game for Bolton at home to Rotherham today. Win that and they could be only 1 point from safety and only 6 behind us.

Lose it and that gap could be as big as 7 points from safety.

Charlton also play Bristol City as well so some clubs could be marooned tonight.

Are they still at risk of administration/points deduction? That whole situation seems to have gone quiet, which is baffling when they were apparently hours away from doing so last month and as far as I'm aware haven't raised any significant money since then.

They sold a car park

Surely only a small reprieve at best considering the state of their finances? Either way, only 3 wins out of 29 tells its own story. If they stay up this season it's an embarrassment to the division as a whole. Even worse that one of their wins was against us, when none of their players were being paid. Makes my blood boil just thinking about it.

Rotherham have sacked Neil Redfern.

Something of a surprise as he's only been there a few months and up until recently they've been doing ok with some big home wins, but last few weeks have struggled against the likes of Charlton and Bolton.

Wonder if Gary Bowyer will be in with a chance there. I seem to remember when they appointed Redfern that they did so with one eye on player development which Steve Evans hadn't done enough of, so that might be a good option for them.

I think Bowyer might be a good fit for Rotherham. Though if he got the job now, it might be a bit too pressurised with them fighting relegation. Though he would get to work with Leon Best again....

No, early odds have favourites as Stuart Gray, Neil Warnock, Uwe Rosler and Andy Hughes.

Bowyer not even in the top 20 with most bookies.

Genuinely surprised me that. Why would Bowyer not even be linked by bookies? He was one of the top 10 longest serving Championship managers at one point. If he was credible enough for us then he should be a credible candidate.

...but he wasn't. Should probably go back to coaching at Academy level. First teams need hard taskmasters not a babysitter.

Clement sacked at Derby. Best squad in the league player-for-player, should be walking it.

Strange replacement at this stage though isn't it...

“The Head Coach, who joined the club in June last year, has been relieved of his duties and is replaced by Academy Director and former Rams defender Darren Wassall until the end of the season.”
