Just to point out the likes of Giggs and Ferguson have referred to the fixture as a derby. It was a reasonable geographical point not a rant about how much I hate United compared to other local clubs. I've even seen Blackpool/Wigan referred to as derby fixtures so far as I'm concerned United counts as one. Could have mentioned City too but its no secret I have an affinity for them (no apologies for that) which is why I only mentioned United. As for my responses ABBEY berated me recently for simply mentioning United's FA Cup game v Derby County on the FA Cup thread that night. Also as most of you can probably recall it was on BBC and nobody else was playing in the FAC that evening. He can say "bore off" if he wants (retort to an insult when you can't debate a fair point) but can't blame me for firing back a bit after such unprovoked and blatantly personal attacks.

Why are you trying to justify this?

The only derby game most Rovers fans care about is against the Dingles. All the others are local derby games but there's nothing really in them in terms of a proper rival. Although Bolton do seem to class us as their main rivals, not that we feel the same way.

You do have a rather unhealthy obsession with Man Utd though, it has to be said.

Anyway lets get back to the thread subject please...

Hull drew 0-0 with Brighton last night. Hull's game was postponed because of FAC progress too (Brighton got knocked out in 3rd round away to Hull so a better result there for them last night) so there's no Championship games this evening. Clearly they didn't maintain their Ewood performance level so consistency is a problem all across the league. Hull have won 18 but there's another 13 they haven't won. Of course Rovers can improve but at this level its unlikely to be perfect. I can see that being the case for the rest of this season at least with good performances followed by a mediocre display. That's why Championship players aren't at the top level you can't really "coach it out of them" in most cases.

Your obsession with Utd is borderline lunacy . You come back on here giving it mr large and the font of all knowledge ... However you turned your back on rovers and went glory hunting at city .They lose a few and then you turn your back on them as well . You get let back on here and your a rovers fan again . It's not normal behaviour and your obsessions really are weird.

I hope Utd win tonight just to @#/? you off .

It's fair to say people with some conditions can be prone to obsessions. Vinjay himself has hinted to this previously.

Can I request for everyone's sake we have a bit of a truce and stop calling each other out.

You are right of course but at the end of the day this supposed to be a Rovers MB is it not

I have no idea what vinjay has or hasn't got and couldn't care less either . "Ganging up " ? I was challenging him about his mind changing and Utd weirdness , it's a place to discuss footy or have missed the point . We all have problems don't we .

Well at least I've actually got something and finally took steps to sort my problems out. What's the reason for all your anger and abuse recently just personality or perhaps you need anger management? Also I won't be called weird by a semi literate oaf who admits the first question he asked his future wife was whether she supported Burnley. Tell your kids that story did you? Then you berate a decent guy like Paul Robinson who gave 5 years to this football club, battled serious illness and probably won't even be their first choice. Your response of "bore off" says it all resort to the insult when you can't justify yourself. I might have an unhealthy obsession with United (and so bloody what if I do how about YOU deal with it?) but I'm not going to be called weird for it by you. Its because of people like you asking me about United why I responded by moaning about Burnley in the first place. It was 1997 when I started watching Rovers if you can't understand why I hate United (and kept hating United after 2000) that's your problem. Try refreshing your memory to that period. Plus if you want to try and bully someone go back to the playground. Somehow I imagine its an activity you regularly enjoyed probably from a more physical standpoint than verbal.

A lot of fans have left but they might come back. I came back and my reasons for leaving are at least as justified as anybody elses. Far as I'm concerned I'm just as entitled to return here as anyone else. Probably even more so to be bluntly honest given the past abuse I received but I'm not going to justify myself to you. Or Yoda for that matter with his silly little likes everytime someone disagrees with me. Anyone who wants to ask (as long as its polite) about City or whatever can do that thing called sending a PM. OK? That does not apply to you or Yoda. Anyone who does might find the answer quite innocent compared to endlessly calling me a glory hunter.

Most people have been good to me since I returned (better than I expected including some surprising pms) so stop frothing at the mouth like a typical Sun reader (or Daily Mail but I imagine you're more befitting of the Sun's target audience) at me every 5 bloody minutes. HOPEFULLY I WON'T HAVE TO TALK IN CAPS FOR NO REASON SO YOU CAN UNDERSTAND. You can keep saying whatever the hell you want I'm not going to respond to it. I've told people what they can do if they want to ask questions and that's that.

I'm not commenting on this again. If you don't like my comments use the bloody ignore button.

I couldn't give the slightest toss about you either. So sod off.

Oh by the way someone mentioned United's game on here while they were playing last night. Disgraceful!!!!

Bolton have announced that they have sold their training ground at Euxton, with 'another North West football club' (Wigan) to occupy it from next season. Bolton will be moving to Lostock Academy and using the Macron for the gym/offices as Lostock doesn't have those facilities, only training pitches.

Goes to show the difference in management between similar sized clubs when Wigan have come down from the Premier League, gone through to League One yet can still spend on buying a good standard training ground whilst Wanderers, who get bigger gates and are above Wigan are having to sell them property to generate the cash to survive.

Or is it a case of Wigan being financially stable and able to take on the training ground as an investment? Who's to say they wont flog it to build houses on in 12 months time? If they've got it a knock down cost it could be an excellent, fairly low risk investment.

Exactly. What happened to the golf club at Charnock that Wigan were supposed to have bought for their training ground I wonder ?

Just read that it has been bought by a property company owned by the Whelan family, rather than by Wigan Athletic itself. £2.2 million for a decent training ground on a large chunk of land is probably a good investment when you look at the housing development and new railway station round the corner at Buckshaw....

Good news and bad news for Bolton. Bad news that they are having to sell the family silver but at least they'll still have a club to support.

The football clock is well and truly being turned back about 30 years.

£2.2m? seems like not a lot of money for Bolton given the debt they are in. Anyway I'm just disappointed I can't use my air-rifle on the PNE squad.
