VinjayV4 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Is that the group with the guy in Spain who was accused of fraud? Its a group led by their former player Dean Holdsworth. I know Roger Tamraz has been accused of various criminal activities but he's not from Spain (or living there as far as I know).

Norbert Rassragr Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I read here that one of the groups had a British guy who ran nightclubs in Spain as a backer. That's what I was thinking of.
VinjayV4 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Got most of the information through reading Nixon's tweets (and he's been talking about Bolton Wanderers a lot due to recent events) but I haven't been following it that closely otherwise. Anyway I looked it up and yes it does appear Holdsworth has an ex-con in his group. Read down to the comments... http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/wanderers/14126705.Potential_new_owner_looks_on_as_troubles_continue_at_rock_bottom_Wanderers/
Norbert Rassragr Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Disley. That's the guy, thanks for digging that up. I couldn't find the link earlier. Unless there's a 3rd figure who's a legitimate businessman with money to burn, this could end up like Ali Syed at Racing Santander or any of Portsmouth's owners since Harry left.
VinjayV4 Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Here's an unusual story. Jimmy Bullard claims Hull City changed his life-by handing him millions of pounds by MISTAKE Don't know if Derek Shaw was secretly working for them at the time.
ABBEY Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Well you ve certainly problems granted ... Edit .. Can't be arsed with trolls
chaddyrovers Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 That'll continue their slide then if 'sunbed' takes over. I think he would rebuild the club and get them challenging for promotion within 2 years. Phil Brown has done a very good job at Southend.
BlooBoy Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Edit .. Can't be arsed with trolls Thats good Abbey you re finally learning. The MB will be a happier place if you stick to your new regime. We can all type without fear of another crass Abbey comment..
ABBEY Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Yet more blatant trolling ... So far this morning it's blooboy 2 vinjay 1 . Ah well cbbc must be rubbish this morning

tomphil Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 I think he would rebuild the club and get them challenging for promotion within 2 years. Phil Brown has done a very good job at Southend. Based on what ? Ok he may be doing well at Southend and that's because he's finally found his level so if/when they go down the leagues you might have a point. Anything above that he's not been very good. 'Sunbed' or 'clown Brown' he was known as at Bolton by the players, that was his job as Allardyce right hand man. I'd have been terrified had he ever pitched up at Ewood.
chaddyrovers Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Brown did a very good job at Hull and got them promote and kept them up in their 1st season there. Brown is an ex player at Bolton and very close to Dean Holdsworth who is head of the group buying Bolton.
Backroom DE. Posted February 20, 2016 Backroom Posted February 20, 2016 Bristol City currently beating MK Dons 2-0 away from home (somebody please tell me how MK Dons beat us 3-0?) and Fulham winning 2-0 at Charlton. I believe that would put Fulham above us and Bristol City level on points with us, albeit that we will have two games in hand on both. Meanwhile suffice to say it's looking extremely bleak for Charlton, though MK Dons can be consoled by the fact Rotherham are losing to Bumley.

It wouldn't surprise me if Bolton stay up and Charlton, Rotherham and MK Dons go down.
West Yorks Rover Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Bolton beating QPR 1-0 Ha, ha just as I post it Bolton score.
wolfie Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Nobbers beating Sheff Wed 1-0, too Nobbers only 6 points behind Derby in 6th place now.
West Yorks Rover Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 Nobbers beating Sheff Wed 1-0, too Nobbers only 6 points behind Derby in 6th place now. Derby just scored so they'll be 8 behind now.
West Yorks Rover Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 QPR equalise in last few seconds at Bolton. Dingles now 2-0 against R'ham.
chaddyrovers Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 IMO, The bottom 3 currently will go down. 5 points behind Mk Dons they all are.
BlueMonday Posted February 20, 2016 Posted February 20, 2016 5 points behind Mk Dons they all are.Use the force they might, and beat the drop they could

arbitro Posted February 21, 2016 Posted February 21, 2016 Some interesting numbers in this report. The average Championship wage is just over £6k a week and we are and have been (allegedly) paying £10k to some dollopers. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-3456453/Mind-gap-Premier-League-wages-soar-average-salaries-2014-15-season-1-7million-rest-creep-along.html
