Some interesting numbers in this report. The average Championship wage is just over £6k a week and we are and have been (allegedly) paying £10k to some dollopers.

Aren't they figures from last season? We certainly helped taint them figures when you think we paid Best, Slew and Robinson circa of £100k a week between them! I'm interested what sort of figures are paid by the teams that haven't been lumbered with premiership wages for 2-3 years after relegation.

IMO, The bottom 3 currently will go down.

5 points behind Mk Dons they all are.

MK Dons will get dragged into it imo as well as possibly Bristol City. Both clubs with small squads with not masses of quality, both with managers not tested at this level (I think). Plus there's always a team that goes into meltdown so don't think it's a certainty by any means.

Having said that, Charlton and Bolton are so poor the above mentioned clubs could stay up by the dubious merit of not being as bad.

Didn't know where else to post this but I saw today that the Sun have a football league flair table, based on reporters ranking the 70 football league teams each game based on excitement to watch factors.

Rovers are 64th! With teams such as Blackpool, Crewe and Dagenham below us. I have no idea what criteria this is based on but it seems about right to me as somebody who watches it every week. Save for the performance against Fulham I cannot recall an exciting performance.

Paul Lambert will undoubtedly wonder why only 11k showed yesterday; perhaps somebody could show him that table!

Rovers we're number one last time I heard.

Edit: it was back in 2009 mind!

Anyway, Bolton has sold their entire club for less than one Jordan Rhodes. Wonder if this will see an upturn in their fortunes or the start of some real problems?

With Davies writing off nearly all the debt they are heading for the promised land of stability

Not surprised. We have very little flair and when we get a flair player he gets crucified on here.

Not related is he?

Dunno, but would take the risk? I wouldn't..

Think 'Deano' is going to find out just how much a football club can swallow money without anything to show for it. Anyway, I'm sure Deano will slap 'em round a bit to try and get them to buck their ideas up.

Fulham now drawing..

There is 7 points gap between the bottom 3 and 21st place as things currently stand.

Rovers have 3 games in hand

Not to mention its only February. Can't really say I'm unable to look away fretting over whether Fulham might get a point or not.

I'm expecting the next 3 months to be quite boring (unless Venkys do something stupid) and in current circumstances that will be a good thing.

Can see Bolton sacking Lennon shortly..

Been rumours about it recently with new owners coming in

They probably should sack him if they can afford the payoff now.

Wow Davies spoke again yesterday what a time to become a motormouth!

http://www.theboltonnews.co.uk/sport/14294527.Eddie_Davies__Sports_Shield_the_right_ones_to_take_Bolton_Wanderers_forward/

Seems quite similar to the type of consortium setup Wild, Battersby, etc probably had in mind though I'm not sure how many are local. Holdsworth of course was a former player but haven't seen anything saying he's from Bolton.

Leeds fan claims club attempted to pay him to set up a pro Cellino facebook group. I think Cellino would have stretched to an independent website at least...

Well at least it won't be all the foreigners fault...

No he's a Southerner, seems to me that the consortium was initially set up with the idea of looking for a club to buy as opposed to set up to take over Bolton.

Sports Shield Investments Ltd was set up in July 2015, and Sports Shield BWFC Ltd was set up in December 2015, both have only Holdsworth listed as a active director with no shareholders. No doubt the money will be enjoying an holiday in an exotic place before finding its way to Bolton.
