Backroom DE. Posted March 5, 2016 Backroom Posted March 5, 2016 Afobe went to Bournemouth cos Wolves arent getting promotion. Jackett has said hes after promotion. Said this on 19th Feb 2016. Plus he has some good players there like Byrne, Mason, Le Fondre, Coady(signed for 2 mil), McDonald, Williamson, Bath. Plus Dicko aswell Bowyer said the same thing and look how long he was backed by yourself and others. A bit early to be suggesting Jackett deserves the sack isn't it?

Ribble Rover Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 [quote name="chaddyrovers" post="1624311" timestamp="145713403 Dont understand why Wolves manager Jackett didnt start with Joe Mason or Adam Le Fondre. He just spent 3 mil on Mason but dont play him. Can see a taxi coming for the Jackett shortly. Not done good enough this season. How can you say this about a man with a decent cv including promotion, then back an over promoted academy manager for years who done much worse?
koi Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 And Bolton have escaped again. I don't want them to fold but I can't believe how much leniency football clubs get compared to other businesses.
tomphil Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Just how many times are they nearly going under because of the tax man ? Is this some daft game Davies is playing and was there even any real takeover going on or is it just a smokescreen to keep delaying payments due. I wouldn't like Bowton to go out of business but clubs not paying their tax considering all the money that washes through them whilst being owned by multi millionaires is a disgrace. Sorry but they should be punished but they are always set up and owned in a way that keeps the real proverbial from affecting the so called owners personal wealth etc. Something to bare in mind and the main reason I have sympathy with their true fans is that I'd not be surprised if one day it was us.
Stuart Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Have they even entered an embargo yet? Let alone points deductions.
JHRover Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Bolton have been embargoed since January. Its a 'full' embargo so they can't even do limited trading within limits like we were able to. They were given this embargo not for breaking FFP rules, but because they didn't even file their accounts for assessment by the League. Despite this, the potential new owner there has spent the last week talking about getting this embargo lifted to enable them to add players to improve their survival chances. I'm not clear on the rules but I wouldn't be too happy if i were Charlton/Rotherham and that happened. How ironic that the Football League have preached sustainability and spouted nonsense about the FFP rules being in place to prevent clubs going bust. Yet only one club has come close to being liquidated in the last few years and they have never even been sanctioned for breaking the rules. They are in Court with HMRC winding up petitions and have had to sell their training ground and car parks to avoid going bust.
had.e.nuff Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 And Bolton have escaped again. I don't want them to fold but I can't believe how much leniency football clubs get compared to other businesse If they do fold do we move up the league as we only got one point off them and most got six. lol

SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 Can't help but feel the Dean Holdsworth/Sports consortium takeover is nothing but a hollow venture.
Ribble Rover Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 I'd have punted on Ameobi. At Fleetwood I think. I think he's championship, no problem.
Norbert Rassragr Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 He's only scored about 6 goals in his career! Makes Heskey look like Shearer.
oldjamfan1 Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Makes Heskey look like Shearer. Its normally Blackburn Rovers that do that!
Lancaster Rover Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Looks like Bolton have to resolve things within 2 weeks or it's administration/receivership and a 12 point deduction. Looking at those time scales its virtually impossible they would fold this season and have all results expunged.
the original david brent Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Rovers up to 2nd in the championship form guide after tonights results. Only a few weeks ago we were 2nd bottom in it!
Backroom Tom Posted March 9, 2016 Backroom Posted March 9, 2016 The only downside being that ugly bunch at the top
Norbert Rassragr Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 Its normally Blackburn Rovers that do that! Yes, it is uncanny.
Lancaster Rover Posted March 9, 2016 Posted March 9, 2016 It seems that nobody apart from Burnley wants to get automatic promotion, Hull and Boro dropping points for fun, same goes for the play-off places.
davulsukur Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Bolton's takeover is complete: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35775537
BlueMonday Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 It's built on sand is that take over. From the outside it looks like a Vanity Project for Holdsworth.
tomphil Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Well I doubt they'll ever be accused of being asset strippers as there can't be much left to strip. Strange how they plan to fund running the club if they don't keep selling though.
chaddyrovers Posted March 10, 2016 Posted March 10, 2016 Bolton's takeover is complete: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/35775537 I'm expecting Lennon to be sack as manager shortly there
Backroom Mike E Posted March 10, 2016 Backroom Posted March 10, 2016 fact? I expect us to beat Leeds, doesn't make it a fact
