Always remember an ex Boro player on a radio commentary up there v Rovers a few years back saying Boro fans are the best around when all's going well but turn on their own team quicker than a roundabout on a kids playground when things aren't. Having been up there a good few times there's never truer words been spoken. Jordan could be in for a rough ride, I hope not for his sake.

Just had a look on a 'Boro forum earlier on and it definitely ties in with what you're saying Tomphil!!

You'd think they were bottom of the league the way they're going on!

Can't remember the player but I vividly recall him saying it. It wasn't Slaven but some ex player from that era maybe Kernigan or someone. Always found them to be like that up there, they're a passionate lot no doubt but not a patient set of fans. No wonder though as their players just don't look up for it at all.

As I've said in the transfer thread... Graham would be an absolute moron to go to another club after his spell at Sunderland. Should think himself lucky to be at a club where he's wanted by everyone, is playing well and knows he's playing every week. If money is more important to him then he could gladly bugger off for me.

Ha, they're all babbling on about the fact that Rhodes was a Gibson signing not Karanka. @#/? him - he made enough of a fuss in June when we rejected their bid: http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/13500932.Karanka__Blackburn_cannot_keep_unhappy_Rhodes/

I wish we'd taken a full money up front package or an exchange deal because it would be fantastic to watch them blow up now after all this if we weren't due £2m!

Amusing thing is Karanka plays 4-2-3-1 and will not want to stray from that - and I think a lot of their fans have just cottoned on to the fact that for 85minutes of a match JR is hopeless. They're now suggesting that they must play two up front! All of a sudden another club are being told to shoehorn their whole (and until recently very successful) team into a new shape to accommodate Jordan Rhodes.

If Karanka does pack up then JR better pray that they bring in a 4-4-2 merchant or else he'll find himself on the bench more times than not.

As long as Uncle Steven is there to give him a cuddle and make him feel wanted, he will be fine

So nice of the big rich clubs to help out the small struggling ones. A bit poor on Liverpools part but that doesn't surprise me.

Especially when you look at Bayern who are fierce rivals of Dortmund loaned them money when they were financially crippled... Pathetic by Liverpool and with their recent ticket price stunts it looks like FSG will try and fleece everyone and anyone.

Why should Liverpool let them get away with not paying an agreed fee they would have got a similar deal from us but Bolton knocked in and bought him its not their fault.

If they can't afford him then he should not play simple as.

I think Bolton just wanted to delay the payment. Liverpool could have been a little bit more sporting about it. It screws both Bolton and Spearing by doing it.

Bolton aren't going to play him so Liverpool won't get paid anyway. They could get the money later if they let him play.

Pointless.

Just catching up on the weekend's footy after 2 days off the grid. Couldn't help but laugh at this:

"The tone for the afternoon was set before kick-off as a coffin was brought to the ground by Charlton supporters unhappy with the way Roland Duchatelet and chief executive Katrien Meire are running the club - so it was perhaps appropriate that the match was to be refereed by Darren Deadman."

That makes Williams their 8th manager since 2012. Another foreign owned, basket case of a club!

There are some nutty foreign owners, but equally there are some British owned clubs in messes as well (Newcastle spring to mind!). And you know what as well...I don't think foreign owners get enough credit when their seemingly crazy ideas pay off.

Everyone thought Southampton were nuts to replace Adkins with Pochettino (who didn't speak any English at the time), or when they sold most of their squad in a single summer.

Watford have the most bizarre transfer policy going. They sacked their promotion winning manager and brought in a foreigner who had never managed here. Turned out ok though!

Even Leicester's owners haven't been without controversy. I don't think anyone agreed with sacking Pearson and hiring Ranieri.

I never understood the negative reaction to Ranieri's hiring. He was a huge upgrade from Pearson, though admittedly I didn't think he would do this well.

It's interesting that Pearson is still without a club. Maybe he's waiting for the right position but he won't want to be out of the game for too much longer.

I imagine Phil Brown is the nailed on favourite for that. Best mates with Holdsworth and knows the club well.

Lennon's reputation has taken a battering. Perhaps unfairly given the mess he's had to work under. 12 months ago he was being hailed as the next big thing and he was favourite for the Leicester job before Ranieri got it.
