G Somerset Rover Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Flurry of bookings towards the end of that half. Nob-rot Barton managed to clatter late into a PNE guy in mid air early in the game and get him taken off injured. No yellow card for the 6 fingered tweet freak as usual. It's scandalous what Barton gets away with. A few games ago he purposely stamped on a player and then followed it up with an elbow and remained on the pitch. Gutter dog.
Backroom Tom Posted April 22, 2016 Backroom Posted April 22, 2016 Gallagher doesn't look half the player he did against us sadly just had a great chance to drive into the box and played s really poor ball
Stuart Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Gallagher doesn't look half the player he did against us sadly just had a great chance to drive into the box and played s really poor ball He got a lot of credit on here after that game - probably too much. He clearly had a point to prove and turned it on. It meant a lot to him, I'm sure. This time of year we see more and more dead rubber matches as those teams/players with neither promotion, relegation, or a new contracts on their mind are already on their jollies (in their heads).
Waggy76 Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Preston , havent really looked interested .... Burnley dont look like conceding ...but credit to them they work incredibly hard...
Hasta Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Gallacher looks poor because Burnley, as ever, are closing down rapidly. We gave him space and time.
Cherry Blue Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 North end really poor they have nothing to play for. Can see burnley winning 2 0.
Blue Cabbage Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 1 min left... ...Gallagher free-kick... Terrible
Backroom Tom Posted April 22, 2016 Backroom Posted April 22, 2016 well that's them promoted Can see one or both of the chasing pack slipping up tomorrow and can't see Burnley slipping now.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 22, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 22, 2016 Can't stand them obviously, but they've got that knack of winning games when it matters. Still think they'll go up automatically, just hope 'Boro win the league rather than them, could do with them staying a bit further behind our trophy advantage! The only advantage we have over them these days....
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 22, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 22, 2016 Indeed. Just need something to cling to, I'd be happy with anything right now....(relating to football).
A cup of beans Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 KHOD. The championship trophy doesn't really count. They'll never win the premier lge or lge cup. Andrews treated appallingly by Rovers fans? We were appalled by Andrews. Out of his depth, should never have graced Ewood.
gumboots Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 nothing to play for but pne look like a bottom 3 team. very unimpressive against our 10 as well. been said before but burnley are just fit and well organised.so frustrating we can't compete with this ordinariness. ps may have missed this before but does gumboots gave questionable taste in men? Why do you ask that?
Waggy76 Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Forget Burnley , a more worrying stat is how the hell are Preston above us ? That is a far greatet indictment on how far Rovers have fallen...
Stuart Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 This is one of the worst seasons ever. We could easily spend the next 10 years in the shadow of a tinpot club just because they got lucky and some idiotic Watford owner sacked Dyche. No flair, no skill, not even a good team, they just grind out results and have got in the habit of winning. Their injury record must be the best in the football league, and one of only two teams in the Championship without a single red card, despite having one of the dirtiest players in the league (who gets away with murder). They'll probably win the fair play award as well as promotion, with Dyche winning Manager of the Season.
gumboots Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 At least you don't live in clitheroe Stuart where burnley fans are going around looking smug. And you don't have one in the family as I'm unfortunate to have
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 22, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 22, 2016 Same in Accy Gumboots. The amount of Burnley fans crawling out from their rocks is unreal.
Parsonblue Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Burnley are everything we are not at the moment - a well run club, a manager who knows how to get the best out of the players he has available, and a squad of players who are prepared to work their socks off for the club. Rovers and Burnley have had spells when each has been the dominant force and, sadly, it seems as if the pendulum is swinging again in favour of our neighbours at the Turf.
Stuart Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Same in Accy Gumboots. The amount of Burnley fans crawling out from their rocks is unreal. This is exactly the problem with Sky Sports Premier League. (Let's not pretend anymore that there is any other chief sponsor). All the plastics trap up when the going is good and disappear when the club needs them. Yet they leave it to others to prop up the club during the lean times.
JohnD Posted April 22, 2016 Posted April 22, 2016 Dingles back on top as they deserve to be. Replaced Rovers as best run club in football. All they need to do is win the Prem
Reedy You're A Star Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Work with a smug dingle, with the unfortunate name of Mr Blackburn.
blue kiwi Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 If we had 11 Keith Andrews on the pitch we would not be were we are now always gave 100%.
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted April 23, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted April 23, 2016 If we had 11 Keith Andrews on the pitch we would not be were we are now always gave 100%.Hmm, I can remember him ducking out of a challenge or two tbh....
