Hasta Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 "Always gave 100%". Such a clichéd excuse for having @#/? players in the side. But a valid reason for fans not to give them @#/? from the terraces on a match day.
Athlete Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Dingles up QPR and Charlton to play they can only throw it away
Al Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Treated appallingly by fans at Ewood. Andrews should never have come to Rovers. He knew very well he was not wanted here but came anyway for the money. What did he expect? I never boo'ed him but I'm not surprised at the reception he got and I don't think he could have expected anything else.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Burnley are everything we are not at the moment - a well run club, a manager who knows how to get the best out of the players he has available, and a squad of players who are prepared to work their socks off for the club. Rovers and Burnley have had spells when each has been the dominant force and, sadly, it seems as if the pendulum is swinging again in favour of our neighbours at the Turf. Sad but true. Even on the days they don't play well they know how to make sure you don't play well either. Determination, discipline, work rate, confidence and a settled team and settled way of playing will take you along way in nearly any level of football. We've still got to learn these skills. Discipline throughout the Club is the key to it all. Not had a red card all season, we had three in three games.
Al Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Dingles back on top as they deserve to be. Replaced Rovers as best run club in football. All they need to do is win the Prem Not a chance in hell. Back down next season.
gumboots Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 According to the big screen here at manchester Piccadilly bartons goal has put burton top
martonrover Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Not a chance in hell. Back down next season. Not necessarily. Each time they go back up their chances of survival will increase, (especially with the increased prize money). Many people said Bournemouth would come straight back down ........
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Then everyone's chances will increase technically. To stay up they need to do what they haven't done so far which is spend money when they get there. Until they do then they have to be favourites for the drop.
Tyrone Shoelaces Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Not necessarily. Each time they go back up their chances of survival will increase, (especially with the increased prize money). Many people said Bournemouth would come straight back down ........ Lots of newly promoted well run clubs staying up at the expense of that group of poorly run so called established teams these days. Who'd have thought the likes of Watford, Leicester, Palace, Swansea would be keeping their heads above water ? There's always a couple of basket case Premier League teams struggling to stay afloat. You only have to lose a good manager and replace him with a dud to self destruct, as we all know.

Its strange you never said that about bowyer what you are saying about Lambert when he was in charge

To stay up they need to do what they haven't done so far which is spend money when they get there. Until they do then they have to be favourites for the drop. The other times we went up we had debts to pay off, ground improvements to make for the prem, the free season tickets once, as well as other stuff like the improvements to the training facility's and wasting money on the UCFB. This time we have the infrastructure pretty much sorted and with last seasons 30 million profit should be in a better position this time. Not to mention no 2hat like Coyle to ruin things. Hopefully a bit more luck with injuries this time too. Anyway the Championship is a better league for clubs like us, just need the odd season in the prem to get some money in, hope we stay up through keeping the hard working ethic rather than throwing money at it.
Parsonblue Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 Its strange you never said that about bowyer what you are saying about Lambert when he was in charge I think you'll find that I have been very supportive of Lambert and have continually said that I believe he is the right man to take us forward with support. However, at the moment the players look completely demotivated by the whole situation and for the past few matches Lambert himself hasn't been as animated on the touchline as usual. It's perfectly understandable as there is not a support system in place for the manager and he is now finding out what those who have gone before him have found - trying to manage under Venky's is virtually an impossible task.

THe biggest problem to you staying up is your greedy directors and your crap ground with it's fire hazard wooden seats.

It was a good post until you said that - in bold. A small club, small ideas, small ambition and you will never win the PL. Doesn't make me happy to say that and I for one wish you well next Season.
Husky Posted April 23, 2016 Posted April 23, 2016 What happened at Charlton today? Saw some footage of black and white things and a flare on the pitch. Were they trying to create a 'European' atmosphere?
jodrell Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 What happened at Charlton today? Saw some footage of black and white things and a flare on the pitch. Were they trying to create a 'European' atmosphere? A protest against the owners it got stopped for about six minutes. it shows it on the highlights on channel 5.
ABBEY Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 A protest against the owners it got stopped for about six minutes. it shows it on the highlights on channel 5.Yet we sit down shut up and let them get away with all sorts ..

When a Burnley fan asks for more luck it's like asking for divine intervention. The amount of luck they've had over the past few years has been extraordinary. To a certain extent you make your own luck but blimey they've had their fair share.

Backroom Tom Posted April 24, 2016 Backroom Posted April 24, 2016 Out of interest and playing devils advocate but what has throwing beach balls on a pitch and delaying the game by six minutes achieved or is likely to achieve?
Stuart Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Out of interest and playing devils advocate but what has throwing beach balls on a pitch and delaying the game by six minutes achieved or is likely to achieve? Publicity.
VinjayV4 Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Publicity. My first thought exactly! Evidently that's what Rovers fans need to generate. I wish someone would go nuts, travel to Pune and bulldoze Venkys mansion but its not gonna happen is it? So whatever we do might not make huge changes...but anything is better than nothing.
JBiz Posted April 24, 2016 Posted April 24, 2016 Out of interest and playing devils advocate but what has throwing beach balls on a pitch and delaying the game by six minutes achieved or is likely to achieve? Blackpool fans got a game called off didn't they? It's obvious who is to blame for their downfall. I don't know enough about the scenario to say whether the protest had a positive or negative effect on that - remember hearing about court cases, owners draining money, refusing to sell, fans storming boxes etc. Just comparing them to Wigan who've gone through some similar mistakes and cost cutting - the lack of publicity isn't hurting them, it would at least seem! I think they bought Boltons training ground - investment not taking it out.
