Without extending the debate we can surely all agree Rhodes is a much much better striker than we will see in blue and white for a long long time (Graham not included)

No , not if they loose their other game

Boro and Brighton play each other. If Bumley get a point tomorrow they go above one of them by a point and have a better goal difference.

So a point for them would require Brighton to win tomorrow and Boro to beat Brighton? Would that do it?

Bumley need to win tomorrow (or a single win) to get promoted then?

Bumley need three points to be sure then I think. The Boro v Brighton match is going to be interesting then. What's the betting - the way our season has gone - that Boro will finish third and go out in the semis. :(

If I had to bet on any of the three to bottle it, then I'd choose Boro. They've had a serious wobble already which nearly resulted in the manager quitting - I assume if they fail again he'll leave.

If Burnley draw this weekend they go above boro on goal difference. If brighton get at least a draw this weekend they will either be level points or above both burnley and boro. this would mean if burnley lost their last game and boro and brighton drew, then boro and brighton would go up.

I dislike them but they have earnt it over the season if they go up they are brutally consistent whilst others buckle under pressure

Dingles will go up as Champions.

Boro probably now need a win against Brighton on the final day to go up automatically and that is likely to be too big an ask.

Massive massive nerves for both sets of supporters but would far rather be where they are than where we are....

This season has been perfect for Burnley and truly awful for Rovers. So much so that their part-time, non-attending fans are getting quite brave.

At this rate you can almost guarantee that Boro won't go up. To be quite honest though. I'm not sure I care. The money will disappear. Balaji would be smugly championing his return on investment and Rovers would still be scraping the barrel.

Exactly. The £2m will disappear just like the rest of the Rhodes money. It ain't going towards our transfer budget (there isn't one) and it won't make a dent in our debt even if it was put towards it.

If Boro end up in the playoffs, I can't see their team handling that pressure.

Personally, I hope Burnley do make it to the Premier League if for no other reason than to show potential investors - if Venkys decide to go - that it is possible to take of town club from East Lancashire, with a limited fanbase and limited income streams into the top flight. I would also be pleased for my Burnley supporting friends who are season ticket holders at the Turf and, like us, have been through some tough times in the past. It's the tough times that make success all the sweeter when it comes.
