oldjamfan1 Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Personally, I hope Burnley do make it to the Premier League if for no other reason than to show potential investors - if Venkys decide to go - that it is possible to take of town club from East Lancashire, with a limited fanbase and limited income streams into the top flight. I would also be pleased for my Burnley supporting friends who are season ticket holders at the Turf and, like us, have been through some tough times in the past. It's the tough times that make success all the sweeter when it comes. You're a bigger and better man than me Parsonblue

JBiz Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 It would also give us a year to get on with sorting ourselves out without the worry of playing a team whom we hating losing to! You never know, maybe the luck will change and we will pass them on their way down when Balaji goes bananas.
West Yorks Rover Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Wigan promoted after thrashing Blackpool 0-4. Blackpool will be relegated to League 2, if Fleetwood get 1 point from there final 2 games, got to feel for Pool fans, those Oyston's are shockers.

Bloody hell Fleetwood sealing their fate is rubbing salt into their wounds Wonder if Balaji has been on to Oyston asking how he's managed to down to League 2 so quick, must be infuriating for the Venky mob that we keep clinging on in the championship
Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 1, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted May 1, 2016 I'm watching the highlights at the minute, I definitely think Wednesday will be a team to watch in the play-offs, seem to be doing very well at just the right time...

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted May 1, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted May 1, 2016 I'm hoping Burnley will be a team to watch in the play offs as well.Me too, however I think it will be them and Brighton for auto. Middlesbrough will lose to Brighton IMO....
Oldgregg86 Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Burnley champs Brighton 2nd and Wednesday for play off if I was a betting man
Husky Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Burnley have got some amazing bottle. Injury time equalisers against both Boro and Brighton last month - that's essentially where their promotion was sealed.
Gav Posted May 1, 2016 Posted May 1, 2016 Not sure if anyone mentioned that David Wheater gave up £10k in appearance money to play in yesterdays game for Bolton. Players in the main are greedy @#/?s, its a short career you know but all credit to Wheater for putting playing in front of finance.

Blackpool are perhaps the only club run in a worse way than us with a chairman who actively hates and antagonises the fans. These days I have to loom at their results to see there are clubs worse off than us.

Todays game wasn't sold out on Saturday, which is pathetic if you think about it, its the fans that are lacking bottle.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 £150 Million waiting on a plate for Burnley now.
Gav Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 £150 Million waiting on a plate for Burnley now. They want to use some of it to build a new away end, the current ones a creaking cesspit.
A cup of beans Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 David Wheater... That's how I felt when Derby scored.
Salgado Is Still A Hero Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Hoilett to score the winner and do an Adebayor.
SIMON GARNERS 194 Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 They want to use some of it to build a new away end, the current ones a creaking cesspit. They no doubt will Gav,expanding capacity and filling it.Will have money to burn on decent players too.Meanwhile we look at administration. That lot going up is the rotten Cherry on a Turd Cake of a season..Let the good times fookin roll
A cup of beans Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Todays game wasn't sold out on Saturday, which is pathetic if you think about it, its the fans that are lacking bottle. Their great support is built on myth and bulls.hit. They're lucky enough to be having their greatest run of success since 1960, and they still have to rely on glory hunters to fill 20,000 seats. I personally knew 10 people who attended their last Wembley trip, and they'd never been to a game before or since. I had to set fire to the Sheffield United Scarf and foam hand, the pain was too great. And that was when we were already an established team. The pain of this season is unsurpassed and unrelenting.
Stuart Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 This season has been enough to put Rovers fans off football for life. It's all I can do at work not to tell them to @#/? off at the moment. So many folks who were quiet as a mouse before now giving it large. It wouldn't be so bad if it weren't for the fact that Rovers have two hands and two feet tied behind their back as a result of Venkys ownership. The only thing left this season was that lot not going up. I hope they get hammered every game next season. Money or not.
Gav Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 We've had 25yrs in the sun chaps: League title, League Cup, played in the European cup, UEFA Cups, Germany, Holland, Austria, They've a long way to go until they get anywhere near what we've had
A cup of beans Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Quiet at the Turf. Can only hear Dyche, Jimmy and the players.
Stuart Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Tell you what, t'Turf's bloody quiet to say it's supposed to be full. Just imagine what it'd be like if some idiots had bought their club with the sole intention of running it into the ground.

It's really sad.
den Posted May 2, 2016 Posted May 2, 2016 Bloody good team Burnley. Every time I see them they're full of flair, invention, individual quality and goals.
