In which case his duties should be delegated to others in the interim period whilst he recovers from his illness. I'm not blaming Myers for the problems. It was obvious when he joined the club there was a big improvement in communication. I wish him well in his recovery. But it doesn't justify an almost complete silence on all levels of the club from owners down. What would we do if the manager became ill? Just leave the players to sort themselves out?

The club is a joke top to bottom

Really wish him well if he's not but as has been said somebody else should be doing the job. Fans need some form of communication from those running the club. Maybe a lot of owners from other clubs don't communicate but the leaders within the club always do, especially if they want to sell season tickets. I find the silence from the mute shelf man more irritating than anything. If he doesn't want to outline the clubs plans to the fanbase he should effing well delegate someone to do so. then again he probably neither knows nor really cares which direction we are going in.

I'm not having a go Merce but you have got form for this. Is this the 4th or 5th window you've had him sold? I can't be bothered going back through posts but it's definitely 4 windows that you've said he's definitely gone.

He will be sold at some point, the vast majority of players are. However it doesn't change the fact that he's been here for the last two seasons when you had him sold to about 4 or 5 clubs in that time.

How can he do that though if, as has been suggested, Venkys have not made their plans clear to those running the club over here? The manager hasn't even met the owners yet this summer, only the financial director has. Meanwhile Kamy claims the owners haven't gotten back to us on whether we can sign (max) 10k p/w freebies yet. I think you're right with the 'doesn't know which direction we are going in' part.

Its surely why clubs should have to detail their ability to sign a player AND keep within FFP before the league sanctions the transfer.

This is a fair suggestion. However, the poster is claiming Boro had a 20 million loss last season. So the more pertinent issue is, why aren't they in an embargo?

He could come out with something as simple as meetings with the owners are set to take place in due course but in the meantime we have to carry on trying to comply with ffp. Or something along those lines, then again he could tell the truth but that would be rocking the boat on his cushy little number.

Wednesday can't spend £8M or more and stay within FFP, so I imagine that's a non - starter....

Next (non) story....

But wait a minute, they have a really rich owner who is going sanction a spending spree to get them promoted....

Anyone who knows anything about FFP will know that Bill Gates himself would be limited to pumping £8 million to cover losses per year under these nonsensical rules.

Rhodes would be considerably more than the £8 million we paid for him and his wages would be huge (probably another £2 million per year). There goes your £8 million for the year and its hello embargo.

Of course that is me applying the rules as written to such a scenario. I'm not taking into account the 'leeway' that the League seem to apply to many clubs (Middlesbrough).

Its a non story for sure, but it wouldn't take much momentum for Wednesday to be pulling 30k each week, they're already getting over 20k average gates so that could help balancing the books.

Seems some clubs are happy to front load and spend money and try and get up then if they miss out maybe just bite the bullet, take an embargo and cut back again. We did that except we only spent pennies because they wanted to put a few assets back into the club to cash in later. Being billionaires (ahem) it's strange they didn't spend some more and have a real go at it seeing as the embargo was coming anyway.

I haven't read all the posts after this one so I don't know if it's been said, but I believe Myers is a very ill man, or he was.

In which case, as others have said, he should be replaced or Shaw should be the mouthpiece of the club, (as unpalatable as that may seem!)

Better still, appoint an MD who the supporters could actually believe in.

So would every other team in the league, and some in the league above.

True.

I have to say, if I was his advisor, at his age now, I'd tell him to make the move if a prem opportunity arises for him..

That's me taking my rovers tinted glasses off..

It's Rudy that should be willing to give rovers a bit more time in my book.. He's only had one full season with us..

you should know all teams bar us don't care about the regs and tear up , flaunt and abuse the rules whilst shaw & myres fill their boots with money for old rope.

I'm not Rhodes biggest fan, but I'd rather have him than not..

Your not a fan of a striker that always scores goals. ?

From Kamy on twitter

Led to believe that GB has FINALLY received permission from 'confused in Pune' to make a signing. No idea who it is.

So after winding everyone up yesterday by claiming permission could not be obtained to make a signing, now it appears that that isn't actually a problem at all.

Well I never.

Very unfair that Rev.

I'm fairly sure that Bowyer would have like to make a few signings by now
