What would people think of Furman, Kim, and Maguire as a triple signing?

Personally think they would be very good signings under our restrictions.

I wonder what the odds are on Bowyer resigning early next season? Think he's getting frustrated now. His reputation is strong enough to get another championship job or top lge 1 club.

I'm disppointed by the lack of signings this summer.

I thought we would be making some signings by now.

I still think we need 3 or 4 players signings. Plus use O'Sullivan, Nyambe and Mahoney as part of the squad

Time to protest against venkys ?

Just read rover11 post and the conclusion that the dumbing down no hope venky brainwashing is all but complete !

Without Gestede, Rhodes and Marshall the rest of our current squad scored 9 goals for us last season. That is a seriously scarey stat. If we sell 2 of these that would mean certain relegation, sell all 3 and it'll be a Blackpool situation. Time to protest? Unfortunately well past that time.

Dont know alot about Kim or Furman tbf.

I think Bowyer would get another Championship or top league 1 club job very easily IMO

The key phrase was "under our current restrictions".

As much as I'd love us to be signing similar players to Derby and Boro, we cant. In all honesty, our realistic ambition is to hope we can plod along in this league until Venkys go. Only then will we move forwards.

Agree Den, I thought that all the scouting team would have been working on identifying players that can be signed under the embargo conditions but they keep acting like this is all a surprise.

Club deffo needs a deep cleansing but until Venky's go that won't happen.

Nobody will disagree with that.

Think we will soon be rid of the V's but we will have to rise from the ashes.

That would be like Christmas coming early.

Sadly I don't think they're going anywhere soon, we need to give them a push.

It's so sad what has happened to our once great football club.

Each passing day causes increasing concern rather than providing any slithers of optimism.

I know it's going over old ground but our circumstances today, IMV, are the reasons Bowyer should have been fired off long ago. Bottom line is we HAD to get up in either of the last two seasons. Wonder what the 'stability' merchants are thinking now ? I think Bowyer is very much part of the problem rather than part of the solution.

Sadly, the opportunity has now passed and IMV, we have little to look forward to other than insolvency so that we can finally be free of the V's.

Well I have been saying for 2 years that it has to get worse before it gets better!

NEGATIVE

1/Venky's and the non-existing Board

2/Lack of Communication(see 1)

3/Ineptitude of Decision-making(still)

4/Fans losing Hope - "its the hope what kills you"

POSITIVE

1/This feels like the Beginning of the end!

2/The squad is nearly cleansed

3/There is a basis of young players and loyal older ones

4/The Liverpool match showed that the 'love' of the Team is still there

5/The Trust and other Investors have had a lot more time to prepare and think more imaginatively

6/The Bank Of India are owed the most money

So think of the Division One winning party in 2018

Not aimed at you, Merce.

Getting annoyed at use of the phrase 'once great'. We ARE bloody great! No matter who is in charge, who the manager is, or who the players are.

We're Blackburn @#/? Rovers! Ra!! Ra!! Ra!!

Understand the sentiment Mike but were damaged goods, no doubt about that.

Get rid of the three stooges and we can rise again, get some pride back, God we need it.

I'm starting to think it's best if Bowyer stays, it's too late now to get rid as we are moving to the point of being very unattractive for managers.

Promotion is a dream of the past now it seems, let's just hope we can bring a few bodies in and stay up this season, that's looking like the task at the moment

That sounds decent although unlikely but again they'd be playing second fiddle to the favs in the centre mid. Although a bit of serious competition might give them a kick up the arris. I fear we'd would see Lowe starting at right back if we seriously strengthened the middle. For every positive there seems a negative.

I would say Bowyer isn't the right man for the job... but I have no idea what the job is anymore.

Annoys me reading the LT article, thinking about how Bowyer has directly contributed to our FFP woes.

I know Kean et al are the main culprits but Bowyer spent £4mil+ on players incl Corry Evans for £850k, failed in getting us promoted in two seasons with a strong team, now spends every opportunity moaning about the consequences that every blind man and his dog could see were round the corner.

Worst of all, there are LT contributors like Beetlejuice and Reg who hang on every word Bowyer says and I worry some people are just forgetting how poor Bowyer has been tactically during his tenure. Either that or they're naive at best, dumb at worst. Don't bother commenting on there any more as I'd just end up bickering and their opinions wind me up.

It's irrelevant Tom really, we need to get to the end game as quickly as possible and then look at the managers position.

Bowyer is a victim here also, a coach trying to do a managers job, I don't hold him responsible for any of this.

league 1, no Venkys, hungry manager, young players and start to rebuild.

We live in hope.

That Beetlejuice guy is definitely irksome. I pointed out how crap I felt Lowe was once, and he accused me of being a Dingle.

I think i'd be tempted to go after someone like Karl Robinson. He has done a tremendous job at MK Dons. Although to be fair and it pains me to say it, at the minute MK Dons are a much more attractive club than us

I know people must get sick of me saying the same stuff over and over again but you're spot on phili, MK Dons are a much more attractive club than we are, on a firm financial footing and seemingly going places.

I'm almost blowing a gasket on a daily basis because the majority of fans must either not really care enough to try and do something about it, or are happy with the current goings on, we even have a few that think Venkys are doing a good job FFS.

Someone posted this current squad in the LT.

Eastwood, Steele, Kean (Raya is under 21)

Henley, Hanley, Duffy, Killgallon, Spurr, Olsson (Nyambe is under 21)

Lowe, Marshall, Williamson, O'Sullivan, Taylor, Lenihan, Evans, Conway (Thompson and Mahoney are under 21)

Brown, Rhodes, Gestede.

I'm assuming it's correct. Now taking into account Bowyers comments about further sales - and I guess he's talking the likes of Gestede, Marshall - hopefully not, but possibly Rhodes, the extent of the task ahead is frightening.

An elderly gentleman just said to me re future sales, well at least the positives are they won't be able to play.

We are under an embargo, i don't see how you can be disappointed by lack of signings. Don't really think people are grasping how severe the situation is.

I think it's more a case of there not really being a single thing we can do. The owners have demonstrated they are entirely disinterested in our opinions. Even if they were chased out, there's every chance they could simply ruin the club, permanently, by calling in their debt. The fanbase don't have the money to handle that problem. What, logically, can we do that will improve matters?
