Does anyone not think maybe we could play Best... It's in his best interest to play well to secure another deal that would earn him the kind of money he is currently on... If he doesn't play well... No one will pay him what he thinks he is worth!

What do you think?

If i thought he'd have something to offer then yes I'd 100% be prepared to give him another chance instead of just paying him a fortune for nothing, but by all acounts he's been absolutely dreadful during his loan stints and whatever ability he once had now seems to have gone, he might not even be 30 yet but i can see him retiring once his contracts up, not just because he's not got the ability anymore but also because i think his head's gone(bit like a poorer mans collymore)

I think Berg would have been ok. He had us looking organised.

Yea, i dont know how good a manager he could have been, but it's was a shame he got the job at a time when i dont think it would have mattered who was managing as there where to mamy power struggles going on behind the scenes and the place was still a total freak show so any manager would have been fighting a loosing battle. Im glad he got one over on the board/owners though and pocketed himself a cool few mill in the process.

When did Tunnicliffe become the answer to anything?

Utter crap.

In his last appearance at Ewood he ran forwards towards the goal Rovers were attacking several times, with the ball and without. Something normally only the opposition do towards us in a Rovers game. A legend in modern times for sure :rover:

John Williams never hid his support for Southampton the whole time he was here.

Where do you draw the line?

i thought he was a wolves fan

its unethical having a exchairman off a rival in charge,he,s open to all sorts of criticsims.

IMV, Shaw is the most incompetent Chairman / CEO Rovers have had in their history, and that is being kind to Shaw.

I think Rovers have lost their soul, raison d'etre and integrity in the last four and a half years and, IMV, Shaw, in his time at the club, has been a big part of that given his position of management / authority.

As far as I am concerned, his position is indefensible in any shape or form.

He should stick to his area of expertise then (putting up shelves I'm led to believe) and get the hell out of our football club.

As with the manager, it's not an issue who the MD 'supports', he's a paid professional.

The issues relate to his competence to do the job.

A PNE fan I know believes Shaw was responsible for getting them into financial trouble.

Shaw is also the only survivor of the three stooges, (Agnew and Shebby being the others), and the biggest question surely remains, how did he survive after what was said about him during the Berg court case?

Shaw's persona lacks any aura of authority or credibility.

It's true that most PNE fans you come across don't have much good to say about him. The biggest thing for me though is just who he is connected to considering what was going on when he came in and just how has he survived.

Pre taking over at Ewood my dad chatted to Shaw a few times whilst fishing down t'Ribble. Amiable chap and all that, but 'he's no John Williams'.

And isn't that the issue? We were used to the best, Chief Execs, MDs, managers that squeezed out every bit of value, that existed to win football matches and make the club the very best it could be.

We are now a much reduced shell of a club with poor leadership at every level it brings home what we have lost.
