How about reading a few posts Chaddy. You would have seen that it had already been shared then.

In all fairness Ricky this thread is the busiest on here and is moving at about 10 pages per day so keeping up is difficult if time is limited. Just think how many posts there would be if we could actually buy anyone!

Gordon Strachan, good god he was a bang average midfielder who has done nothing in league management, only got the job because hes one of the boys, JR would not get found out in the PL, hes there to score GOALS, not bloody defend, i think thats why you have defenders.

There must be two Gordon Strachans. The one I rem was pretty damned good.

As for your comments of Rhodes... truly naive. Rooney is Englands No 1 striker and by definition the finest example of a top striker, he is frequently playing deep and tackling back to help out the defence. Shearer frequently helped out when we were under pressure. Rhodes has a scoring gift but when he's not utilising it he's a 40k pw passenger.

£3m for Nzonzi was pretty cheap.

Not to many on here. Some wise old sages couldn't wait to get rid of him. Wonder where they are now? I feel a 'search' coming on.

When has Rudy EVER run the flanks? The chap barely runs at all. I think because Rudy is a big lad who wins a lot of headers, people are just blind to the fact that his hold-up game isn't much better than Rhodes's, if at all. He wins a few headers that go to no one yet doesn't really bring in other players that much as his footballing brain isn't that great. Rhodes actually does very well with the ball into feet, often draws a foul or brings in the likes of Conway. I think you're incredibly harsh on him den, and I have no doubt you never mentioned these issues with his game before last season, where Bowyer's football (and IMO his training to make Rhodes stronger and thus slower) have dumbed down not only the team's game but also Rhodes's.

As I suggested to Gordon, feel free to youtube Rhodes's goals and Rudy's and spot the difference. Hell, on a few occasions Rhodes even harries defenders and forces mistakes to get a goal, something you don't see Rudy do.

If as it appears we are intending to play a version of 4-5-1 then there really is no comparison between the two of them.

So many people have backed themselves into such a corner with Rhodes, that they're inventing strengths of Gestede 's to discredit Rhodes ;-)

and vice versa.

I said it will be a busy week. Been quiet with this Koita. He was ready to sign for Sivasspor in the turkish league twp weeks ago but could not agree a move. Furman to follow if he impress tonight.

Now if we sign Furman as well as Neophox suggests and Kim signs then we arguably have a full squad again until someone gets sold.

Hard to be that excited about Koita. Totally left field one. Very strange we haven't trialled him? Sadly reminiscent of the portugeezers...

Edit - ah he has played Ligue One footie regularly so a bit better than the portugeezers
