JayPeeBee40 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 We offered King a new contract - so hardly sold. Wouldn't say his control was good - more hit and miss - could be brilliant, and then awful in the same breath, Make a good rugby player josh king he was that good at running the ball out over the touchline 😁

thenodrog Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Have you delusions of grandeur DMTP? If he was brilliant all the time do you think Man Utd would have ever agreed to let him sign for us?
skous18 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 He was signed as a janitor. Think he was 1/2 portugeser. That Bruno guy is coaching Ludogorets right now and they just got kicked out off the champion league in the second round. What a parody
bluebruce Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Once again, suspicious of home grown talent. Why is that..? I'm a fan of home grown talent actually. I've sung the praises of many over the years. For the likes of Duff and Jones, from the very first games I saw them in. But plenty of other lesser lights too. I was dismayed when Gally and Derbs left (may be slightly biased by having played with them), and I expected bigger things than we got from Jay McEveley (despite his awful first appearance). I've wanted us to give more chance to many of our young prospects over the years, and feel we could have expected some to kick on if we had. I just think Lowe and Hanley are fairly gash, and that I'd have expected O'Sullivan to have done more with his career so far, being nearly 22, if he was, or about to be, at Cairney's level (24 years old). I also think he won't be getting much of a look in with the amount of midfielders we may be set to have. I feel like Raya, Nyambe, and Mahoney are our better prospects, given their ages and the possibility of opportunities for them (perhaps Mahoney aside on that one). I have to confess I've seen little (but some) of these young lads though. And as I said...I hope you're right.
Mullionvagrant Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 aller gars lui donner une bonne aller droitgo on lads give it a right good go future tense of "the lads gave it a right good go" Bowyer better practise his french excuses.
mustard Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Looks like it. Not good enough.. I personally think O'Sullivan is a ready made replacement for cairney.. Have you seen enough of O'Sullivan in the u21s to make that judgement? I'm always sceptical on how youth players will adapt as it's a big step up from reserve football. I do hope he can fill the 'in the hole' void that we've had for the last couple of years (mainly due to Bowyer's reluctance to play Dunn). I wouldn't expect to see much of O'Sullivan this year though. As much as Bowyer harps on about youth, he's yet to give any of them a proper chance, and with us overly bloated in the DM position, I wouldn't expect to see much of Lenihan this season. Not unless he's played at centre half which isn't his natural position. Eager to see how these new lads fit into the team, if they fit in at all. Long way to go til the end of the window and I have a feeling the squad might look quite different come the end of it.
frosty Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 aller gars lui donner une bonne aller droit go on lads give it a right good go As a French speaker that translation is pretty amusing Poor effort from Google!

Haha not sure it quite translates well as it assumes you're using 'right' as in the direction, hence 'droit'. At least I think that's how it works but my French isn't what it used to be. Good effort though, it certainly made me chuckle. As a French speaker that translation is pretty amusing Poor effort from Google! Forget "come on you blues"... Allez les bleus!
JAL Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 What is the sad sorry state of English football with these two Ewood park additions that's takes Bowyers recruits to an incredible 31 in little over two seasons. Good luck to them both.

Pedro Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 There must be two Gordon Strachans. The one I rem was pretty damned good. As for your comments of Rhodes... truly naive. Rooney is Englands No 1 striker and by definition the finest example of a top striker, he is frequently playing deep and tackling back to help out the defence. Shearer frequently helped out when we were under pressure. Rhodes has a scoring gift but when he's not utilising it he's a 40k pw passenger. Yeah, Strachan was an excellent player. Even damn good when he was a biddy.
davulsukur Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I think o Sullivan will take on cairney's role of being an impact sub, yes.. The impact sub who was only subbed on 8 times over 45 appearances? :-)

Ha ha perhaps somebody can translate this properly....... but if Bowyers french is as good as his management this is the level to be expected!!!!!!

Marshall will do that and someone has to fill in for Marshall.
Pedro Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Good little interview with new signing Petshi, he comes across nice:

tomphil Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I think o Sullivan will take on cairney's role of being an impact sub, yes.. You really talk some @#/?. Let's face it you don't watch us do you.
JayPeeBee40 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 You really talk some @#/?. Let's face it you don't watch us do you. Let's just wait and see..
neophox Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 That Bruno guy is coaching Ludogorets right now and they just got kicked out off the champion league in the second round. What a parody Not that bruno ribeiro. This one is 40 years old. I am not surprised we did sign petschi...I heard he wasnt playing behind closed doors friendl. But cookrand furman would so i thought he would not get a deal but hey now hes signed. We will see if hes a new. Monoen or a new. Goulon... Things changes quickly.
Backroom Tom Posted July 21, 2015 Backroom Posted July 21, 2015 Knowing nothing about any of them I expected Petshi to be the least likely to sign and the other two considerably more likely to sign I know nothing Jon Snow
G Somerset Rover Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Surely we knew their wage demands prior to taking them on trial. More likely we just didn't fancy them.
tomphil Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 The same restrictions that they already knew we were under but we wasted time and money trialing them anyway only to turn around and sign two cheap options as was always really on the cards. Like I said before it just has a look of window dressing. McGuire and Kim as well. I repeat Bowyer will not sign a centre mid who is ready and expected to be a starter. He has his men already for that position. The same old lot who've plodded away in there since he took over.
