If/when we generatee enough sales to get the embargo lifted when would it be lifted?

And once it is lifted spending silly money with our losses will just put us back in an embargo.

I am afraid its diamonds out and coal in for the foreseable.

That stability thing's really paying off, ain't it?

I've just logged on and hav been catching up and was just waiting for this post. The haste to take a positive slant together with Blueboy's hidden posts literally ALL OVER this thread since the news broke are clichéd in the extreme.

Sorry but that's how I feel. There is absolutely nothing good nor consolation about losing one of our only two creative players.

This is a player who was player of the season only 12 months ago, and suddenly he isn't up to it.

Give me @#/? strength.

different opinions, you'll learn to accept them when you grow up. And FFS stop going on about me being on ignore and then continously referencing my posts you massive dullard WUM.

no need for that,

losing good players always results in the same scenario,

relegation

Think you must have been a spin doctor !

Cairney will flourish with a manager who will play to his strengths and play him in his best position - and that's not stuck out on the wing !

This sale, IMV, is ominous for our club. Would anyone seriously think the likes of Rhodes, Gestede and Marshall will want to hang about when they see our better players being sold off ?

As I said in an earlier post, I think it's evidence that our owners are bailing out. It was bound to happen at some point when they said enough is enough. You could get next season's planning on the back of a stamp.

Well 'Gaz' is doing his best to dumb down our football structure and recruitment of staff from Carlisle should give us a fighting chance of life in Division 2.

The same manager that turned Tunni"liffe into a world beater.

every need, he had no need to mention me at all, he has me on ignore as he keeps saying, but that's what he's like, constantly stirring and holding grudges. If he keeps referencing me in a negative way he'll keep getting some back. Either have a word with your WUM 'mate' or wind yer neck in

Must admit that I can't get upset about Cairney going. Yet another, for me, who flattered to deceive. After his goals against Cardiff and Norwich, in the first two games, I can't really recall him making any impact on the team. Personally, and I know we all see the game differently, for me he had too many weaknesses for a central midfield player. A rough tackle early on and he did a vanishing act. He has the potential to be better than he is but he needs to toughen up.

Surprise, surprise. Parson approves of what the club are doing. I am furious. One of our best players gone without hope of a decent replacement. I now regret my haste at paying for a season ticket. Absolutely furious!

Ok, seeing as though the Cairney stuff is all over the major sports sites I will let people know where I heard the deal was done as there isnt really a rsik to where its come from now!

One of his close circle of friends works where I do and we talk Rovers a bit...

I emailed him Monday when the rumour was about and it wasnt happening at that point although was told "they are definately interested and its a good opportunity for him" and "the being played out of position thing is a red herring"

On arrival into work today I receied an email with "deal done" and nothing else...

We spoke in person and I was told Cairney had sent out a picture to friends wearing fulham training gear (as they havent released a new shirt etc yet).

So, there it is...

Deal done!

That's because Groundhog Gaz can do no wrong in the eyes of some supporters.

Obviously it's in the club's best interests to sell one of its few creative players.

thnaks for letting us know ITKturner :) . From what you're saying it looks like he's gone for the money/london lifestyle? Can't really blame him.

I am almost certain that losses for 2014/15 will be in excess of £20million. Cairney sale a mere ripple.

That makes me feel better. It's now almost certain that we'll be out of embargo soon.

Sign of the times. Most other clubs must look like a better opportunity at the moment.

Things are going to have to get a lot, lot worse before they get better at Rovers. We are powerless to hold off bids now so it's only a matter of time before Gestede and Rhodes follow.

Well done.

Fasten your seat belts - said it was coming:

Northern Rover ‏@Northern_Rover · 7m7 minutes ago

Next up on the escalator out of Ewood Park is Rudy Gestede who is has nearly reached the top of the escalator out. 1/2.

Northern Rover ‏@Northern_Rover · 5m5 minutes ago

Jordan Rhodes and Ben Marshall have also stared their journeys on the escalator out but are someway off the top just yet. 2/2.

Jesus wept. Somebody put a positive spin on this if they can.

Looks like Venkys are calling in the cash. Wonder how long before they bail as well...

We are not powerless. These players are under contract. When their parasitic agents start bleating just say "No". That is one thing I admire Oyston for. He tells the agents where to go.
