Kamy on twitter about Gestede, Rhodes and Marshall leaving saying only Rudy wants to go.

Here is his tweet

Apart from Rudy none have said they want to leave.

On O'Hara, he is a decent player.

But I hope we keep Marshall, Rhodes and Conway this coming season..

Plus if Gestede does leave, I would look to sign Gallagher from Southampton on loan.

No doubt there will be many on here suggesting that O'Hara is as good as or better than Cairney.

The bloke's in his late 20's and has done nothing of note in the last 5 years. His fitness is a major issue also.

Trading in for an inferior model, yet the club claim to want promotion.

Yes Mr Chaddy I think we know by now that you would like to sign Sam Gallagher you've mentioned him nearly every day pal.

Jamie O'Hara:- 8 assists last season in 26 games and 3rd in the Championship for the most Key passes per game (2.7).Cairney was 2.3 per game. Funny old game.

That's the position we're in now - resurrecting careers (like Cairney & Gestede) and making profits. £10m return on those two probably. Good work by the manager.

Fine if we're selling them on to higher ranked clubs like we're going to do with Gestede.

Not fine if it is to a club that finished way below us last season. Not only are we weakening ourselves but we are strengthening a team that will be around us in the league next season.

I keep hearing a lot of 'this is our position now' stuff. But since when has our position as a top half Championship side been to sell our better players to clubs like Fulham who nearly went into League One last season?

How can they be above us in the food chain?

We finished one place behind Derby and two places behind Wolves last season. Notice how neither of those are offloading their best players to the likes of Fulham. They are Championship fodder and haven't got parachute income.

Sounds just like Cairney then, except a few year senior.

More than triple than the others...but that figure is still less than three.

There's some straws that need clutching.

Cairney will come good under a better, inspiring manager. Ours is rubbish.

I'm hardly clutching at straws. It's around a quarter of all the chances we make. Nearly three chances created each game is GOOD. Especially within our team. It would imply we're a bit buggered without a suitable replacement, when you look at the dross the others serve up. And we all know we won't get a suitable replacement. Can't see where you're coming from.

Jamie O'Hara indeed

I understand he's in talks however so are a few other teams.

I believe this is why Cairney was sanctioned.

Did okay at Blackpool to be honest after a couple of years in the wildness with Wolves and personal issues. If he can be motivated and kept fit (Knee+Back) then he could be the driving force in midfield.

Don't quote me but its what i've heard.

Fulham were interested in him too. With Cairney going there it may clear the way for us to get him

So even if he does come in and do a good job given his fitness problems he is likely to only have a year or two left in him.

So much for buying good young players and developing them for a profit.

Surely if O'Hara was that good then Fulham would be better going for him and saving themselves several million quid.

That 5/1 to go down sure looks tempting now....

On O'Hara, good prospect once upon a time but poor form and injuries have done for him over the past few years. I also like to know how previous fans viewed him to give an idea on strengths and merits of a player. Wolves fans fkin hated him.

we have to sell players to get out of the embargo. Also, as intimated by other posters, Cairney wanted to go. Do you want players at the club that don't want to be here? Like you say, he's gone to a club below us. Why? Money? London? You'd need to ask him. We can't spend money, Fulham can, to the tune of £10m this summer apparently. They well be making a push for promotion. You aren't comparing like with like. We're ferked till the embargo is lifted...and beyond.

Their manager is Kit Symons, he's below Bowyers level, many deals have turned out were a club thinks they've got a far better deal/player when in fact it's the other club who've got the better deal.

The young player policy yep, there won't be any profit made on a player such as O'Hara, but we can't buy decent young players so that's what we have to do, plus we need to bring in more experienced players at times.

Probably won't even sign him anyway mate, we will probs get another Petrovic.

Will be interesting to see if we're still 5's on the eve of the season.

It's sacrilege to bet on your own team going down, isn't it? ... isn't it?

Mercerman, you have been saying that Rhodes would be leave Rovers for last 2 years now.

I don't see anyone paying Rovers's asking price for Rhodes.

With the embargo what can we get in to replace Cairney? Can we spend any of the cash or just bring in a free on lower wages?

No. Unless we get the embargo removed we can spend 0% of any fee, except on wages capped at 10k per year

Better work would have been getting us at least challenging for promotion

Anyway Cairney has ability but on last seasons form actually won't be missed, we could be better off with O'Hara.

What I'm dreading is us signing Paul Taylor and Bowyer saying he can be Cairneys replacement

I think this Cairney love in is an indictication of how far we have fallen...

If , the £3.5 mil is true , we have robbed Fulham...Seen many many players better than Cairney wear the blue n white shirt ...

A lazy one paced player who plays well 3 or 4 times a season ...

For those wanting a positive spin(and im clutching at straws here) what if the venkys are trying to recoup as much cash as they can from player sales before they put the club up for sale(which is most mamy people have been wanting them to do)

Doubt it will be put up for sale as in its present state the club is unbuyable

If the fee is anything over what we paid hull for TC we have robbed fulham,he has potential but thats it potential, last season i was in a country were we could read but not post, the stick TC took virtually evergame showed what most posters thought off him,he is a poor man lee makel.

And say what you will about Cairney but he's the only senior centre mid we have that can pick out a pass and he's a class above williamson, lowe, and evans, yes last year was poor by hos standards, but when our player of the year is markus Olson it doesn't say much for the rest of the squad.
